For well over a week now, the folks on MSNBC have been throwing conniption fits over the selection of Paul Ryan as Mitt Romney's running mate.
On Thursday, Hardball host Chris Matthews actually said, "They’ve created a real Frankenstein’s monster in putting this guy on the ticket" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

The Frankenstein monster for those too young to remember killed innocent people. Yet Matthews is claiming that Ryan and folks like him that believe abortion should be illegal because it is the killing of an innocent baby are akin to a killer?
This ignores the immutable fact that those opposed to abortion believe they are saving lives.
I guess this is too complicated for Matthews, especially as he appears to be really scared Obama's going to lose; with each passing day, his commentary on Hardball gets angrier and angrier.
I sure hope he doesn't hurt himself with all this rage inside of him.

Statements like this literally make me dance around my living room!
The analogy is not that Frankenstein killed innocent people, but that Frankenstein was a stitched together monstrosity made of parts from different corpses. Matthews was saying that Romney and Ryan’s politics are too different, because Ryan is conservative on issues that Romney is liberal or “moderate” on. So, putting them together as a team is like sewing together a Frankenstein from different bodies.
I don’t think he is right about the “ticking time bomb” crap, but he kind of has half of an actual idea hidden in there somewhere.
Chris, Where are you going to work when MSNBC folds, now that Gates has pulled his support from your money losing, no viewer, network?
What if the real plan is to pull an end run fake and have Ryan as the deception but Sarah Palin becomes the VP nominee instead, just for shits and giggles.

We did too. One of the last things I remember seeing was Smilin' Jonny McInane "debating" obama. Arggh! I didn't shoot the TV, but we just got tired of it. It's still around here somewhere. Every year of so we watch a movie on DVD.
But I do listen to a lot of talk radio.
