The photo of this Albino Burmese Python looks so real, Francesca Pitcher of North Star Cakes in Kent, U.K., was prompted to add this tagline: "****I DO NOT SELL SNAKES****. This photo is of a snake CAKE made to look like an Amelanistic Burmese Python for a birthday party."

Yes, the snake is a fake. It's a fake snake cake.

I do not know how to post pics here on FR, but check the link. That think looks like a real live coiled up python. You would not believe it's actually a birthday cake. What a stunning job by the artisans at the bakery!

That thing would give me a heart attack if my family presented it to me as my birthday cake!

Naturally you’d want it under an opaque cover and then everyone yells “SURPRISE” as they quickly lift the cover.

Saw this a few days ago and sent it to my daughter (who hates snakes) and asked her if she wanted one for her birthday. She directed some very inappropriate language my way.

The fact that the cake makers can do this is not a huge surprise — pretty much any shape can be made by starting with a series of stacked circular or rectangular cakes and carving them into the desired shape.

What makes this one remarkable is the precision and level of detail; the theory is simple, but the execution requires a lot of skill.

That's for amateurs.

A pro already has a fake snake cake pan in hiss or herse kitchen...

If you saw it in your yard, would you hit it with a rake?
