I don't always buy that silly meme. You certianly do let the media and Dems do your thinking. You want to change the thinking among the electorate? You don't fold over a dumb remark after the candidate has apologized, and let the enemy Dems set the agenda. If Akins left the Senate race the Dims would are still going to use his remark against the Rs. And Missouri is not O’Donnell's Delaware. The Missouri Senate election depends how Akin from here on out runs his campaign.

The Missouri Senate election depends how Akin from here on out runs his campaign.

And Charlie Cook just changed his rating on the MO Senate race from "Tossup" to "Likely Democratic" as long as Akin stays in.

His willingness to toss away the MO Senate race and, potentially, GOP control of the Senate, with all of its implications for repeal of Obamacare and future Supreme Court picks, reveals a narcissism worthy of Obama himself.
