Look, I'm sure we'd agree on a lot of things, but that's just wishful thinking.

Akin got about a third of the GOP vote in the primary; do you think he would have gotten anywhere close to that if he had mades his remarks a few days before the elction? Of course, not, he would have finished a distant third.

Akin threw McCaskill a lifeline - she was a Dead Woman Walking until he opened his mouth. If he gets out now and she has to run against a non-toxic GOP candidate, we still have a chance to see her lose, and I want to see her lose!

Look, it is certianly not as self defeating as the guys in the circular firing squad.

Akin threw McCaskill a lifeline - she was a Dead Woman Walking until he opened his mouth. If he gets out now and she has to run against a non-toxic GOP candidate, we still have a chance to see her lose, and I want to see her lose!

And if he stays in as it looks like, the toxic firing squad is doing McCaskill's bidding. It's still up to Akin as he won the Primary to get out or not. Spitting on Akin after he decided to stay in is not working to get what you want by seeing McCaskill lose.
