Only morons would think that someone who voted for Akins, Brunner or Steelman would all of a sudden vote for someone who wasn't even vetted in the primary. Might as well put "None Of The Above" for the name of the new candidate for all the votes it would gather.
All those wishing for Akin to drop out are missing what is going to happen. The moment the first Republican called for Akin to drop out the fate was sealed of who ever runs in that spot. Doesn’t make a frost bit hill of beans difference if Akin was replaced on day one or stays till the bitter end. The moment that a majority of folks on the Right agree with the folks on the Left it is game over. The Left wins that game every time.
