The anti-Obama movie "2016 Obama’s America" went into wider release around America today and is opening right now in first place at the domestic box office. That’s quite a feat since the Rocky Mountain Pictures political documentary is still playing in only 1,090 North American theaters – or about 1/3 as many theaters as big-budget actioner "The Expendables 2" (3,355 theaters). The Stallone picture from Millenium/Lionsgate is expected to end the weekend #1 and should top the box office tonight....
Both online ticket-sellers Fandango and MovieTickets.com showed advance buying for "2016 Obama’s America" were accounting for 35% to 28% respectively before this weekend.

That’s the loosest definition of “number one” I’ve ever heard. If Expendables wins Friday and wins the weekend, then Obama’s America was never “number one.” Unless they’re slicing it down to “number one” only during the early morning hours on Friday or something. It’s doing well and holding its own for sure, but it’s pure spin to claim it’s “number one.”
For a documentary of its type without any sex or explosions, it's a shocking success.
What's to spoil? nobama is an arrogant, artificial, cocky, conceited, deceitful, domineering, egotistical, glib, haughty, immodest, insincere, maniacal, narcissistic, phony, pompous, sanctimonious, self-centered, selfish, sleazy, smug, sociopathic, uncaring, unctuous, vain, scumbag POS.
Oh, and he lies. Often!
Don’t waste your money on Expendables 2. It is terrible. Even their attempts at self-deprecating humor were so poorly acted that they failed.
Go see Obama’s America.

Exactly. It is #1 in ‘on-line’ ticket sales, but it won’t be #1 at the box office, as it is not in enough theaters. It does have a shot at being #1 in per-screen average this weekend, though...bottom line; it is going to do very well for a limited-release documentary.

Agreed and it may have a chance of becoming number one. But I don't like misleading, pandering headlines from the right any more than I do from the left. Their article text itself states it won't be number one for Friday or the weekend, so the headline is unjustified.

I thought this was certainly an educational movie. I certainly learned things sitting in the theatre that I’ve never seen or heard anywhere else.
Take it up with the original author. The Breitbart article's information most likely came from a piece at the Deadline Hollywood website. I think Nikki Finke was trying to make sure she used the term "anti-Obama" in the title when that is not an accurate description of the movie at all.
