CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - President Barack Obama was forced to find another venue for a Virginia campaign event next week after the University of Virginia declined a request to use the campus.
University officials had said Friday that they had met with the campaign about using one of its outdoor venues on Wednesday.

He’s trying to get the young vote back by appearing on a college campus and showing his shuck and jive. Note to Obama: The youth are sick and fed up with you. I would be too if I had just gotten my college degree and there were no jobs to be found anywhere.

Actually traffic control is the big problem. But if this was 2008, they would have begged him to come. Now, sorry, everything is being cleaned that day.
When Michelle came to Virginia Tech this year, they drove her up from Roanoke. They shut down the local road just for the motorcade only. Same with Biden. And they let Biden wander the Drillfield.
The University rejected the request, IMHO, because if they had accepted it they would have to also give Mitt a venue. Since the university accepts Federal Money they are required to provide equal time for both parties.
It would be very embarrassing if the Emperor's venue pulled in a few hundred and Mitt's venue pulled in a few thousand.
