Obama Demands Race-Based School Discipline/ ( War on White Boys)
The American Thinker ^ | August 25,2012 | Joy Pullman

Posted on 08/25/2012 2:21:22 PM PDT by wintertime

President Barack Obama recently signed an executive order hiring race-sensitive bureaucrats to hold meetings and mandate racial discipline quotas.

The order charges his new racial justice team, in part, with "promoting a positive school climate that does not rely on methods that result in disparate use of disciplinary tools." In plain English, that means that if different races have different incidences of disciplinary action, those of a favored race who act worse will be punished less, or those of a disfavored race who act better will be punished more, or both. It's true that a higher percentage of black students than white students receive school discipline such as suspensions or expulsion. A recent, representative study of nearly half the country's school districts found that 17.3 percent of black students were suspended in 2009-10, whereas 4.7 percent of whites and 7.3 percent of Latinos were. Only 2.1 percent of Asians were suspended that year. The black graduation rate is 64 percent. For whites, it's 82 percent, and for Asians, it's 92 percent.

I could not agree with you more. Learning reading and writing and math is not difficult later on. Healing from hideous emotional abuse and insane condition in public school may take decades.

I don’t know why, except that it suits people’s convenience to not “see” the truth. It’s a difficult thing, especially in this economy (hmmm) for people to make the deep sacrifices of money and time to take control of the most important job they have-guiding their children’s moral, as well as academic and physical growth. But it’s the most important job they have as parents, and it’s more important now than it’s ever been before, because the government schools are being used for indoctrination MORE than actual education. More and more mandates and regulations about what children must learn, and often the parents have NO say. For instance, using the classroom to normalise homosexuality, and they don’t forget to buttress this “teaching” with subtle hints about how people, including parents, are to be dismissed if they oppose it.

I was a teenager in the supposedly coolest state in the union. I traveled to the mountains and the coasts. I worked for pocket money to hit the road. For three years I hitchhiked from Canada to Mexico, from the west coast to the darn near entire span of the east coast. It was a GREAT time in my life.

True story- when I was a junior in high school, graduating a year early, doing 4th year French by independent study while doing 3rd year French, my history teacher threatened to fail me if I missed another day of class, as I’d missed 30 days. (Bored senseless with school.) I asked him why he’d do that if I had an A in his class because I obviously wasn’t missing much. Kind of left him as speechless as when I was accused of cheating off a classmate and I responded, “why would I do that when I have an A and she has a C?” LOL.t missing much. Kind of left him as speechless as when I was accused of cheating off a classmate and I responded,

Simple solutions.....get rid of the dictator and get rid of the DOE and allow states and communities to reform thier own education systems
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Yes, this would definitely be an improvement but would not fix the problems that are intrinsic to government owned and run, single-payer, and socialist entitlement schools( even if managed by district as small as a city block or suburban housing division. )

Why? ( I hope you will thoughtfully follow my reasoning.)

Answer: Fundamentally, government owned and run schooling is a First Amendment and freedom of conscience abuse regardless of how small the locally run district might be.

1) No school can be religiously, politically, or culturally neutral in content or consequences. Such a state of neutrality can not exist in the mind of any sentient being, nor can it exist in a school. Even if the district was as small as a suburban housing division, a more powerful group of voters would be imposing ( by police threat) their NON-neutral religious, political, and cultural worldview on a minority faction and forcing them to pay for it and use it if they can not afford or find an alternative.

2) Government owned and run socialist entitlement and single-payer schooling is risky for the child. As the child grows older it is impossible for him not to notice that the voting mob is giving him tuition-free schooling! Gee! If the voting mob can force others to pay for schooling, why not use that mob to get **lots** of “free” stuff? Simply attending these socialist-entitlement schools may teach the child to be comfortable with socialism and government force to pay for and use the socialist service. This is true even if the district were the size of a city block.

3) Compulsory schooling risks teaching the child to comfortable and compliant with government compulsion. ( Do you think our Founding Fathers would have tolerated a TSA search for even one nanosecond?) Even if districts were a tiny as a small town government schooling teaches government compulsion.

4) All schools must strictly suppress First Amendment Rights. When government does this in its socialist-entitlement schools, the child risks learning to be comfortable with government suppression of God-given human rights. This would be true even in a tiny tiny district.

Solution: Begin the process of privatizing education. The most ideal goal would be to have complete separation of school and state.

As usual, California (the `Golden State’) is on the cutting edge of indoctrination passing as education.
Teachers there aren’t teaching anything worthwhile, and they stultify kids in both English and Spanish.

Sparky,

In thinking about your post, I realize that compulsory government schooling steals a person's life and prevents them from using that life in a way that is most satisfying to them.

For example:

**traveling experiences ( in your case),
**developing a talent ( as one of my homeschoolers did),
** accelerating their education ( as two of my children did) or
**learning a trade,
**just plain working for money.

Government schools **steal** life. There is a word for that: Slavery!

Children are **used** ( enslaved) for the purpose of providing jobs for middle class government toadies of very limited talent.

It's the entire system, not just the teachers.

Districts are handing out "pacing guides" that tell you what textbook page you WILL be on on what date. It doesn't matter whether or not your class is ready for that page, or if the pace is too slow for them - they WILL be on that page, or that teacher WILL be written up and eventually fired (yes, it happens).

They WILL use ONLY state approved materials, selected by the district. Teachers will NOT use any other materials. That includes special education and gifted.

I got chewed out once for letting my students read their library books in class. Who knows what would have happened had she caught the student with the short term memory issue reading comic books. Comic books worked for him.

I could not agree more with you. I work as a maintenance electrician at a local school and have one on one time with many of the students.

Without revealing too much, The school is a combination of academic and trades. Those on the academic side would lean 80% progressive. On the trade side more than 90% consevative. These students are pidgeon holed into their world veiws. I have rocked the boat on many occasions with the administration with their idea of education. The BLATANT direction of the academic teachers is astounding. The trade teachers are all capitalists and teach the technical end as well as how to manage a business.

One of the major points made in the movie, “Waiting for Superman”, was:

Communities don’t make the schools bad. It is the **SCHOOLS ***THAT MAKE THE COMMUNITIES BAD!

Yeah, I’m shouting. I am exasperated.

It only took 3 generations of socialist-enttilement government school to give the nation Franklin D. Roosevelt and ever tightening socialism.

Three generations of utterly GODLESS socialist-entitlement schooling now has given us soaring out of wedlock birthrates for both blacks and whites, and thousands upon thousands of fatherless and feral children.

It will get worse before it gets better, even if we could get every child in the nation into a solidly conservative private school tomorrow.

That solves the scholarship issue and accessing higher education. That is certainly a plus for the students in your state. Do many government schooled children take advantage of this opportunity? What about homeschoolers?

European children are reported to have higher academic achievement (math, english, science, art, music) than US kids.

Do you think that perhaps that is because, in almost all of Europe, the money is attached to the child - parents decide which school the children should go to. If parents believe their child to be musically inclined, they send the school that emphasizes music (or art, or science/math, etc.)

In other words ... vouchers are the solution.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

It depends: Yes and No

Yes, vouchers will be the solution if they can be a means to building a private infrastructure.

Yes, vouchers may be a solution if the direction is toward parents taking more and more responsibility for paying for their own children's education and moving toward eventual separation of school and state.

No, voucher will not be a solution if strings are attached making private schools into government controlled schools.

No, vouchers will not be a solution if they lead to tuition inflation as has happened with college student loans and Pell Grants.

The theory behind this school discipline push is what Obama officials and civil rights advocates call the “school-to-prison pipeline.” According to this conceit, harsh discipline practices—above all, suspensions—strip minority students of classroom time, causing them to learn less, drop out of school, and eventually land in prison.”

I guess the little shits ought to stop screwing off in class, then. Call me what you will, but I saw it when I was growing up in a small, southern Missouri town; I saw it again in EVERY school or class I attended during 20 years in the Army; I saw it when St. Louis City bused their youths out to my sister's and brother's school district; and I see it again with my kids because St. Louis City STILL buses their youths out to our school district. In general, negroes have zero respect for education or anyone who values it, and their classroom behavior mirrors their behavior in other circumstances.

A lot of this can be attributed to illegitimacy. A child with a two-parent family is on a “success” track, more or less; but a child raised by a single parent is on a “survival” track. Statistically 60% more likely to be incarcerated.

The single factor of sex outside of marriage, for many reasons, may likely wipe out most slave-descended black Americans. Self extermination. Importantly, increasing numbers of African immigrants, who do not suffer from these bad behaviors, conceal the decline, because they are combined in the statistics.

Personally, I have heard African immigrant blacks describe S-D blacks as “animals”.

A lot of this can be attributed to illegitimacy.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

What does three generations of GODLESS, single-payer, and socialist-entitlement k-12 indoctrination produce? Answer: Illegitimacy and many other social pathologies.

The causes of cultural change are not usual as evident a pushing the first domino in a long line of dominoes. No. It is more like Rube Goldberg. Push level A, and a ball rolls and falls in to slot G. This triggers pulley J and out comes Z.

So?...Why the illegitimacy? It likely due to a number of factors but large factory-like government schooling is likely a **major** factor.

It only took one to three generations of citizens schooled in government socialist-entitlement schools to produce a nation of voters comfortable enough with socialism to give us Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Then came the 1950s and 1960s. One room schools across the nation were shut down. Districts were consolidated. Huge factory-size schools were build ( probably supported by those who love team sports)....and...God was scrubbed clean from the curriculum

Lever A: 1850s and compulsory government schooling
Lever G Fabian socialists take over key posts in the nation's universities
Lever J: Marxist train teachers and write curriculum
Lever L: Marxists infiltrate the government and media in the 1930s
Lever S: School districts are consolidated
Lever W: God is removed from the curriculum

Result: Illegitimacy and many other political socialist and cultural evils.
