I just happened to notice the one-sheet last week while seeing another film. Did not know it was out in the Dallas area. I attended the early matinee this morning (Monday, Aug 27) in West Plano, Texas (Far North Dallas suburb). The theater was full - not sold out, but extraordinarily full for this day and time. Mind you Monday is my movie day and I have seen many films from Summer blockbusters to documentaries where I have had the theater all to myself.
This is the second week for this film and people are still coming out in groups to see it. This is a red state, and Plano is certainly quite Conservative and Christian. But its good to see so many people motivated to see a political film, and to hear of their love for America.
A common theme I heard from some in the audience (and my own Conservative friends) its not hatred for Obama, its love for their country that influences their efforts to vote him (and others like him) out of office.
One area of disappointment - I think they could have done much better showing what the nation would be like if Obama was reelected. They glossed over that last part. It should have been much stronger, illustrating the global devastation from a second term.
