Why is the mainstream press always surprised whenever a conservative movie does well? Case in point: the huge early success of the hard-hitting documentary "2016: Obama's America."
The movie, made with almost no money and no major studio backing, by neophyte directors, and with zero attention from the mainstream press, grossed $6.5 million over the weekend, putting in the top 10.
So far, "2016" has taken in more than $9.3 million, which puts it easily within reach of becoming one of the top five highest-grossing political documentaries of all time.

I assume it’s a rhetorical question.
Because they ignore everything that is A)non=commie and successful, and; B) commie and unsuccessful.
Lots of others are ignoring it.
I live in Houston and none of the mega-screen theaters near me were showing it.
I had to drive a ways to find one that was. It was packed.
Too bad those others don’t wish to make money.
Yes : has to be rhetorical.
Anyone with half a brain knows why the media is ignoring it.
Ummmm......duh.
If they mention the success of 2016, they’d have to mention content.
Then they’d have to admit that it is NOT a “rabid attack”, but a thoughtful exploration of the formation of Barack.
It is an EXCELLENT documentary!
Because they hate America as much as Ocommie does?
Pray for America
Thankfully, even some in the old msm is begining to turn against Obama, as proven by last week’s “Newsweek” article.
Because they can’t have the makers of the film shot.......yet.
I told my friend she had to see 2016. She had never heard of it. When I said it was about 0bama she said its a movie to make him look bad? Where is the movie about Romney?
Really liked Obama's half-brother George. He pointed out that Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and Kenya were all at about the same level of economic development when Kenya became independent in 1963 but only Kenya was still a third world economic backwater now.

They typically don’t brag about a movie that finished 8th in the weekend rankings. I know we are a society that praises kids who participate in soccor and receive a trophy just because, but PLEASE let’s not do that throughout everything in society.
Tell her “it is a thoughtful exploration of the formation of Obama”.
Tell her also, if there were any dirt to be had on Romney, Obama’s Hollywood friends would have made it into a movie.
NPR actually had a story on it’s success on All Things Considered yesterday. I listened to it on my way home from work. I was shocked.
It seemed muted, but it was a good story, which is rare for NPR.
Normally their in depth stories use the word “village” a lot.
There is no *Press.* There are only ignorant writers and presenters of a very old agenda...that throughout history has always failed.
Here is how AP responds to the film:

Brag, no. Report? Yes, yes they should. For a documentary that is not in its opening weekend, this is big news.
I saw the early matinee with my wife last Sunday and the place was packed. We happened to get there early and we were glad we did! The average age of audience was well north of 50... which bodes well for the election. I got the distinct impression (from overheard conversations) that a lot of seniors were there so they could decide not just to vote against Obama but to decide how much they need to oppose him.
The movie was very well done. It made no wild predictions, it just laid out Obama's past, present and a few hints to the future... and let the audience decide. He's never even portrayed as a bad man, just a man with a philosophy that has done the nation and world harm and threatens to do more of the same.
That could well be the theme of the movie: don't expect anything different from BHO if he gets reelected because he's accomplishing his goals right now. His plans are working, not failing.
