The one day bad sample seems to still there

Sunday is still in the 3day... tomorrow holds real weight.

It dropped a point and probably will be even in 2-3 days. Ras has had this pattern. The Akin Effect will likely only be temporary.

Americans HATE RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE/DeathPanels.
And yet, the GOPe will feature the author as their
new leader and deity (who tolerates NO discussion).

Maybe it's the fine job he is doing keeping the hurricane at bay. Rumor has it he was in New Orleans this weekend, standing on the beach, arms raised to the heavens, demanding the storm head west. The Messiah has spoken and the sheeple approve. (Yeah, I think Rush's story about Castro influenced that BS rant) ;o)

Gallup has Romney up by one. Following the historical pattern, Romney should get a bump from the Republican convention. Then, following
non-historical pattern (Zero was the first to turn down Federal funding for a presidential election), Romney should get another bump when he actually starts spending those campaign funds. Zero should get a bump from his own convention, but for once the Republicans can outspend the 'rats in a presidential election.
Romney is in no worse shape than Reagan was at this time in 1980. Somewhat better, because he has more money to spend.

I watch Rasmussen daily. Have for years. I’ll bet this is just statistical noise. Other polls coming out in the last couple days show a Romney surge. Even CBS News today in a registered voter poll shows Obama up by only one point. My take is that right now Romeny has a small lead.

I went back to 2008. Ras had Obama up by one or two points most of August and this SAME LABOR DAY/BACK TO SCHOOL WEEK there was a swing to Obama (up by 4) because many Republicans are not home this week.
Returning after Labor Day McCain was actually ahead for 2 weeks until the stock market crash and when he stoooopidly "suspended" his campaign.

I agree.
That this high percentage of Americans still support O is a far worse indicator of the state of our nation than anything else. If this economy and all he has done so far are not waking the sheeple up, we are beyond hope.
As others have said, the problem isn’t Obama. It’s the fact that so many voted for him.
It’s even worse that so many still support him after his deeds and agenda have been exposed.
It just may be over........

I agree that we go by Rasmussen, but isn't this good news because Romney's doing better than he was in yesterday's Ras poll?

Same thing happened last weekend, and then it was back to 47-44 Romney by mid-week.
The race is close. Romney has a slight edge. Obama is in terrible condition in the mid 40s as an incumbent. It is Romney’s to win or lose, as the country has rejected Obama. They just need to be assured the alternative is a better choice.

You are exactly right and people need to widen their view a bit. Even Rasmussen himself warns of daily polling being taken to heart. He suggests a weekly average and the trend is what is important.
Gallup a similar polling method (rolling average) and he has Romney up by 1 as of yesterday. take into consideration the MOE because it means something.
