The real Obama is humble, high achieving and way cooler than Mitt Romney. Just ask David Brooks
Telegraph - UK ^ | August 28, 2012 | Tim Stanley

David Brooks of the New York Times has written an alternative biography of Mitt Romney that makes for witty reading (“He was sent to a private school, where he was saddened to find there are people in America who summer where they winter.”) But in the course of doing some internet research about this Romney fella, I found out he’s running against someone called Barack Obama. Obama’s biography makes for fascinating reading, too.

Barack Obama was born in 1961, the location marked by the appearance of a new star in the East. His mother lived on food stamps and his grandmother owned Hawaii. Between them, their son averaged out as middle-class.

.....His horizons broadened, this born-again guru decided that it was time to walk away from the self-serving vanities of the legal profession and go into politics. He put on a blindfold, stuck a pin a map and found that God ("noun. 'synonym for Obama'") wanted him to start in Chicago.

........Promoted by his friends Jimmy “the fist” Vincente and Sam “you’ll vote the way Jimmy tells you to” Giovanni, he rose quickly in the ranks to become a state senator, where his courageous stand on abortion makes him one of the few prochoice Democrats prepared to say on record that “choice” doesn’t have to end after birth.........Obama’s ability to make even the most complicated issues sound all about him impressed voters first at the 2004 Democratic National Convention (“As I stand here today, I can’t help but think about myself”) and then during the 2008 presidential primaries (“Imagine how great it would be if I won this election”). His inauguration was declared a new beginning and a national holiday – in Venezuela...

Sorry, Brooks but you cannot match Dinesh.
Absolutely a pathetic attempt to sanitize the Commie In Chief.

Zer0 worships at the alter of Rev. Wright, Frank Marshall Davis , Bill Ayers, his grandfather, white trash mother and bust-out commie father.

Yep, quite a resume’.

I don’t understand why so-called conservative commentators solicit his opinions.

"2016: Obama's America" expanding into 1,800 theaters "LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - "2016: Obama's America," the right-wing documentary that has rocked the box office with its challenge to the president's record, will expand to about 1,800 theaters on Friday, Rocky Mountain Pictures told TheWrap Monday night.

That's up from the 1,091 theaters it played in over the weekend, when it took in $6.2 million between Friday and Sunday for a per-screen average of $5,940 - the best of any film in wide release. It added another $1.2 million at the box office Monday.

Produced for roughly $2.1 million, the film - with its catchphrase, "Love Him. Hate Him. You Don't Know Him" - has made $10.3 million since its release seven weeks ago and has surpassed "Bully" as the year's top-earning documentary.

The expansion will surely benefit from the buzz surrounding the ongoing Republican National Convention. Part of it will target the Heartland, a primary focus of the long-term rollout strategy according to MJM Entertainment's Mark Joseph, who is handling the film's marketing with co-director John Sullivan.

Theaters also will be added in New York, Portland, Los Angeles, Boston, Austin, Tex., and San Francisco. Joseph was still analyzing Monday's box-office numbers and said the expansion count remained fluid.".......

My neighbor saw that last weekend and was just raving about it.

While he’s reasonably politically aware, and very anti-Obama, it surprised me that he had gone to see it. Good news. People are really paying attention this time around.

I saw the Obama documentary last weekend. It’s good. Even though it was rated (boxoffice) with other films being shown in over 3000 (3-1) theaters, it came in 4th.

If saying “I” every tenth word is humility, then obama is a very humble man.

If playing continual golf while the economy is dying is cool, then obama is really cool.

If high achievement is spending money at a record pace, then obama is a very high achiever.

The truth of the matter is that like Raymond Shaw in “The Manchurian Candidate”, the proclaimed virtues never were in evidence. In spite of repeated assertions that, yes, “Raymond Shaw is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I’ve ever known ...”, he possessed, in fact, few of the qualities attributed to him, or at best, in only a very small degree.

The Current Occupant fails totally at being humble, has no achievements he can point to and say, “I did that better than anybody else could or would have”, and “coolness” is a quality that dissolves in flop sweat.

And in his heart, the Current Occupant knows this to be true. The act can continue only so long, then he becomes Jimmy Carter redux, criticizing that which he no longer has access to.

There was an old tale, long attributed to Abraham Lincoln, in which a supposedly much wiser person was asked, “If a dog’s tail were called a leg, how many legs would a dog have?”

The answer, of course, was, “Four.”

Explanation? “Just because you call a dog’s tail a leg, doesn’t make it a leg.”

I suppose David wrote his praise on some lavatory’s wall, with his phone number, before it was published in the New York Times.
