Team Obama promises it will fill every one of the seats in Charlottes mammoth football stadium Thursday night when President Obama closes the Democratic National Convention with a speech accepting his partys nomination.
For weeks, Democrats have been concerned about filling Bank of America Stadium, home to the NFLs Carolina Panthers. They feared a devastating image of an enthusiasm gap if Obama spoke to empty upper decks at the venue.
But the Obama campaign says its got it covered, and that all 73,778 of the stadiums seats will be spoken for. The campaign also insists this success will showcase a ground operation that will help Obama win North Carolina for a second cycle in a row this November. Were confident well be full, Jen Psaki, the traveling Obama press secretary, told The Hill late last week. We have a great ground operation in North Carolina and weve registered more voters than any other state.
Our goal is to leave North Carolina better than we came in, Psaki added.

Oh dear. We need to be worried when we see large guillotines and booths set up for receiving a “vetting mark” near the arenas. I hope nobody spots smoke coming from the Obama statue’s azz.
Yes it is. If it starts emitting smoke we’re in for it.
How many of the people attending won free tickets and dinner with Obama for entering his illegal lottery?
Correct. They are calling it Panther Stadium.
After all that money I spent on lingerie? Not a chance!!
73 thousand, ninth largest NFL stadium.
I can see it now:
the goal posts will be changed to Greek columns.
Two weeks ago convention organizers began making tickets available for the acceptance speech at the stadium.
Team Obamas 9-3-1 program, which provides supporters with one ticket to the acceptance speech after they volunteer for nine hours over three shifts, an effort the campaign says will expand its grassroots, will also help fill empty seats.
You did it! They’ll blow that photo up and place it around the stadium for a backdrop!!!! I guess he’ll probably bust thru it and appear on stage!!
Whose idiotic idea was it to call him the chief executive? Of what? He has never even ran a lemonade stand. It would do my heart good to see that sand sculpture - just sand.
In my show-biz days, one of our ongoing concerns was finding studio audiences for TV shows. Tickets for the highly rated shows were usually in demand, but for a lot of the other ones, you’d give away anywhere from 5 to 20 tickets in order to get one butt in a seat. The art form was finding the right ratio. At the major awards shows, we “dressed” the audience by having extras in formalwear filling the empty seats in the front rows. I wonder how they’re planning to “dress” the audience to cover the no shows for his speech?
Only question is, what are they going to fill it with?
Illegal aliens? Urine? Dead bodies from the Clinton years? Members of Democrat sympathizing Leftist groups that are affiliated with terrorist networks around the world?
I could go on, but why bother...
More likely sand columns. Bush’s Fault
I think this will be the most expensive speech ever given. Total cost will be over 75 million dollars, a coronation of useless drivel.
Had an Obama zombie cheering him on, claiming a Democrat congress and reelecting Obama would change everything. ‘What, we have to reelect him to find out what he’d do?’ I asked, and they immediately agreed.
‘That worked out so well with Nancy Pelosi’s health care bill. Pass it to find out what’s inside. Half of Obama’s administration has been with a fully democrat congress - his first two years were so sterling - trillions in wasteful spending, seizing private businesses, etc.. I can only imagine how much more damage he could have done had the people said ‘ENOUGH’ and kicked the Democrats out of Congress.’
‘Well, if Republicans would only...’
‘Would only do what? The people said ‘NO MORE.’ They kicked out Democrats in droves. What? Are you saying, AGAIN, that people are just too stupid to know what’s good for them? Yeah, that’s a strategy that ought to work out well. ‘’Vote for Obama, you stupid jerks.’’ Can’t wait to see those ads..’
‘But if Congress would only...’
‘Only stop doing what the people want? Maybe it might be better if the President started doing what the people wanted.’
They stomped off at this point.
Bring a shovel.
