Mark Levin: If Romney Becomes Another Bush Or Ford, He's Got To Go (video)
RealClearPolitics ^ | September 11, 2012 | RealClearPolitics

Mark Levin: We have to demand that candidates, who ask for our votes, hold fast to our principles and values, because those are never up for negotiation or to be treated as a political expedient.

We can fight like hell to defeat Obama and elect Romney and not sell out our core principles, and that's what we're forced to do and that's what we're going to do. Polls be damned; commentators be damned; analyses be damned. That's what each and every one of us have to be committed to.

So yes, I understand the anxiety, I have it too. But we must beat Obama. We must take the Senate. We must hold the House. And then the Grand Old Party has no excuses of any kind. If it winds up being another Bush administration, or Ford administration, or Nixon administration, they all have to go. I've been saying for the longest time the leaders of this party are weak and they need to go already.

I agree.

What we have here is: 1.) a War to rid our Nation of the counterculture, Communist Obama; and 2.) a battle to rid the Republican Party of the Bipartisan Cave-In elected politicians that are Republicans In Name Only.

The War to convincingly defeat Obama is compromised when the RINO politicians start to Cave-In to Obama BEFORE the voters have a chance to vote Obama out.

The old McCain Days of passing out hold-your-nose-when-you-vote-for-a-RINO noseclamps are over, but Romney refuses to believe it.

Romney is totally clueless as a politician and the polls reflect that fact.

If Romney wants to win by a large margin, then he must have convince the voters that there is a large difference between him and Obama.

Obama is a Communist through and through. Obama wants to continue to take the US Federal Government on the Communist track to failure.

Romney must show the voters that he, Romney, is not Obama-lite.

If Romney can’t do that then Obama will keep on the Communist wrong track, and we lose the War to the Obama Communists.

If Romney can do that, then we win the War against the Obama Communists, and then, after Romney’s election victory, continue the battle to hold the RINOs accountable for their actions, in-actions, and cave-ins.

I am of the opinion that Romney will lose the War to Obama UNLESS he shows a greater difference between himself and Obama. Thus, I choose to call out Romney when ever he shows his Socialist inclinations, such as his stated goal of “saving” parts of Obama”care.”

IOW, I have chosen to fight the battle with RINO Romney in the firm belief that unless he rejects his Obama-lite ideas, he will lose the War to Obama by a razor thin margin.

To Romney: To win big there must be a big difference. Tick-Tock.

To those FReepers who find fault with my opinion, let me ask you this question: “Why is there a statistical tie in the Polls between Obama and Romney at this late date if there is a big difference between the two candidates?”

Should, but won’t. The elites will blame a loss on everything but themselves, even though Romney, like McCain, was supposed to be Mr. Electability, and they’ll try to move even farther to the left.

Considering what a miserable failure Obama’s first term has been, Romney should be polling above The One across the board. Instead, we’re getting the same excuses we did for McCain in ‘08.

Milquetoast Mitt is the successor to Mild McCain, and the fact that he’s facing a similar outlook should scare the hell out of every rational conservative.

No, I tell that to fellow conservatives and freedom lovers who realize the Geriatric Old Plotter party is as loyal, fertile and vital as an inflatable vinyl doll. As long conservative money, efforts, enthusiasm and votes are squandered on that false front operation we will continue to slump to the left.

One party is brazenly corrupt. The other pretends that it is not corrupt. They work together like a hammer and anvil towards the same objectives - diminished liberty and prosperity for Americans, and the supremacy of government and the welfare state.

Recent headlines:

Romney praises Clinton for elevating DNC.

Romney would keep parts of Obamacare.

Romney/Ryan stand with Rham against teachers unions.

I dunno bout y'all, sounds a whole lot like the last election.

I agree with you that Romney must MORE FORCEFULLY and MUCH MORE CLEARLY enunciated the differences between himself and Obama on a whole spectrum of issues, social and economic, and paint a picture - with crayons if necessary - which clearly illustrates those differences.

Obama is a man who hates the west, hates America and is a racist.

He has engineered a foreign policy of weakness in the face of Russian, Iranian, Islamofasscist and Red Chinese aggression.

He has engineered a domestic economic policy which looses jobs by pandering to environmental radicals, outsources energy production, servilely kow-tows to civil service and teachers’ unions, and strangles economic initiative with a sea of federal red tape.

He attempted to saddle the American public and the American business world with ONEROUS personal and economic restrictions under Cap and Trade”.

He has violated the spirit of the First Amendment with a Health program which persecutes Christian religious values.

He has declared war on senior citizens and the handicapped with a health care program which places vital health decisions in the hands of government bureaucrats instead of the patient and his/her physician.

He has demonstrated a callous disregard for the rights of the unborn.

He has surreptitiously carried on a vicious and homicidal war against the Second Amendment.

He governs outside the constitution by executive decree.

He has filled key court vacancies with radicals who look outside the American constitution in reviewing American statutes.

In effect, upon reviewing the Declaration of Independence, Barack Hussein Obama makes George III appear to be a benevolent monarch.

Romney must attack him on these and other points again and again.

The Grand Ole Plantation doesn't get the message, I said they would go the way of the Whigs if Mittens got the nomination.

They certainly risk it. Willard Mitt Romney clearly has no political core whatsoever. If he does decide to govern responsibly it would keep the Geriatric Old Plotters on life support a while longer. The button you picture is more likely to be what he would offer though, and if so it probably is a trip to the elephants’ graveyard.

Yes, George “I think you ought to listen to Alinsky” Romney.

What a zany guy.

I agree with your post 100%. We need to hold Romney and his ilk’s feet to the fire BEFORE they get elected so they know their job is on the line before they even get into office. They work for us!

Looking over the mess we've created for ourselves, I see two obtainable goals for NOvember:

Defeat obama.
Defeat Harry Reid by electing a majority in the Senate.

The more Congressional seats filled by Tea Party patriots, the better the odds for corralling and motivating Romney into becoming a truly great reformer president. This won't be easy, but it's possible.

Otherwise, we'll have the same situation we had before with a big spending progressive rino controlled congress and a rino president which lead to obama, Reid and Pelousy, all of them ramming and jamming socialism down our throat for the last decade or so.

We may have inherited much of the mess from the generations before us, but we aren't victims. We've done this to ourselves, with our votes and our inattention.

I completely agree with Levin here. Now is the time to hold Romney's feet to the fire. Not after he gets elected. A lot more people should be saying exactly this--that their vote for Romney is predicated completely on his ability to get things done on issues that matter and not cave in to the left's demands.

We should be gearing up NOW for a primary run in 2016, no matter which of these bozos get elected.
