CBS, NBC Morning Shows Push Libya Blame Onto Romney
NewsBusters ^

Posted on 09/13/2012 9:47:47 AM PDT by chessplayer

The NBC and CBS morning shows on Thursday both pushed the theme that Mitt Romney made a gaffe with his handling of Libya. At the same time, they shielded Barack Obama. Good Morning America's Jake Tapper stood out in highlighting problems for the President. In the wake of the murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens, Tapper asserted that "many questions remain about insufficient security at those diplomatic posts on the anniversary of 9/11 and U.S. leadership in the region in the wake of the Arab Spring."

In contrast, CBS This Morning devoted a large chunk of its coverage to allowing Barack Obama to defend himself. The three minute and 41 segment featured the President talking for a massive two and a half minutes. How long did Romney get in the Norah O'Donnell segment? A mere ten seconds.

The media in this country is no longer the media we all once knew..The media now is the Obama machine, they all will say anything and do anything to help their prophet Obama win re-election. They have adored him since Jan 2008, they will stop at nothing to help him. They have to, they created him

It’s the same media. They’ve just taken off the mask of the last 50 years.

Sent this to CBS:

Romney should say:

“My only regret is that we have a President who’s first instinct is to apologize for something America didn’t do.”

“Such behavior is a sign of weakness that only invites the type of violence we have witnessed.”

Yup. In the past, even though the media liked Carter and Clinton, they would do their jobs and tear into them. Those days are long gone.

The media in this country is no longer the media we all once knew.

Yes it is. It is the exact same leftist propaganda machine it has always been -- the one that has been giving me heartburn since I first became politically aware in the 1970s.

Lets not forget how they saved Clinton's ass during the Lewinsky affair, making Ken Starr the villain.

Let's not forget "Reagan the amiable dunce" and Walter Cronkite -- the most trusted man in America -- who betrayed us during the Viet Nam War and subsequently gave a speech to the UN in 1999, during which he directly called for the USA to relinquish its national sovereignty to the UN.

And then we can go back to the NYT's Walter Duranty who reported glowingly on Stalin's worker's paradise, won a pulitzer prize for his efforts, which the NYT to this day has not had the decency to return.

Same media as always. The only difference is that now they no longer have a monopoly on how the news gets reported.

I guess I wasn’t paying much attention to the way the media was behaving back then. Now I am more informed. 2008 showed me all I needed to know. Now I see them for what they are. I always knew the media was leftist, but the way they are behaving now, they are not even attempting to pretend they are not in the tank for Obama. They will have his back always, because they created this monster. They all voted for him, because they see Obama as the most progressive president ever, they want to see America become the Communist Utopia they have always dreamed of and they see that in Obama. No matter what Obama does or says they will protect him til the bitter end

No ideologue would go to the lengths our old media has gone to to cover-up and obfuscate for the Democrats. This is the kind of work that you have to pay someone to do. The old media has been bought by the Democrats.

The advantage to Dims is that they don’t have to generate nearly as much in donations for their propaganda machine as the GOP, because they can count on the MSM for its full support.

I understand there are 6 companies that control the MSM. What can be done to encourage these companies to return to reporting the TRUTH? Legally, nothing can be done to affect immediate change but prior to the electronic age, the printing shops and news paper offices that published political propaganda (lies) would sometimes self ignite.

I swear to God, between the Marxist media and government indoctrination centers (a/k/a public schools) it’s a miracle we ever win any elections in this country anymore.

The only way we’re going to make headway against the media is to boycott the sponsors of ALL news programs. Name names and boycott!! It worked for Chic a Filet (in the opposite direction, of course). We can do this. There are enough of us out there.

For the first time since 2001, I tuned in to CNN this morning just in time to see John McCain being pounded by their newsreaders over and over again with “Do you think Romney was wrong?”, “Wasn’t that really over the top?” yada, yada, yada.

An Ambassador is slaughtered and they still insist that this nonsense is the real story.

It will be decades (if ever) again before I tune in CNN.

I get the majority of my news from the Internet, and Fox News, but primarily from the Internet. I have zero trust in the media because I know that they are all in the tank for the Commie

Reporters have been slime balls for decades.

My professional training is in journalism. I worked in the field for several years. I was laboring under the impression that being a reporter is an honorable profession.

Watch old black and white movies. Reporters are often portrayed as obnoxious slugs.

Far too many people enter journalism because they want "to make a difference" or to "bring about change." That's all find and dandy. The Village Voice, Rolling Stone, etc, is the place for them, not in the newsroom of your hometown newspaper. What happened to becoming a journalist because it is exciting and every day is different from the previous one?

In Communist Poland they would all decide to go take a walk at 6:30PM when the national nightly news came on.

Tens of thousands would be walking the streets, making it patently obvious that nobody was watching.

Perhaps its time to give that another whirl.

All those years in the prison camp and the NorVietComs could not break him. I am guessing CNN did it in about five minutes.
