Protesters plan to take to the streets of New York City to mark the first anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street movement. After a weekend of events in Manhattan and multiple arrests demonstrators intend to gather in spots across lower Manhattan on Monday to disrupt the start of the workday.
The groups, which meet at 7 a.m., will organize around issues that appeal to the concerns of protester. There will be zones for debt, education, environment and the 99 percent. Once people are assembled, the groups will wind their way towards the stock exchange where they expect to form the so-called peoples wall.
Organizer Lisa Fithian explained that once protesters make their way into the Financial District, the goal is to stop people from going to work.

How NYC can vote liberal is beyond reason.
They are part of the 99% — 99% of red diaper trust funders and old fart hippies.
"I don't want to work
I want to bang on the drum all day"
Todd Rundgren - Bang on the Drum All Day:
Same old leftist crap I saw forty years ago.
Saw this on the news this morning getting ready for work.
"getting ready for work" is a foreign concept to these leftist dirtbags.
Get a frakin’ job already! Opps, my bad.... /s =.=
Ain’t communists wonderful.
Pray for America
I visited OWS last October, before it had full descended into a homeless camp of robberies, rapes and heroin ODs,and soon after arrival I knew that I was in an alternate universe. But I didn't realize it was *that* bad.I sincerely hope that those two clowns were part of a staged comedy skit rather than for "real".Otherwise,well.....
Well, at least this will ease up the lines at Starbucks!
I’m sure it will be over-hyped for the small crowd size I’ve seen on TV this morning.
Drum ain’t too bad looking.
I could spare a day.
If you mean the blond with the purple streak, I think it’s a guy.
Sorry, I assumed you were referring to one of the drum players. Did you mean one of the drums was good looking?
Yea, that’s it.
To be completely fair, let’s note that a goodly number of the OWS protesters think Obama isn’t far enough left.
