Mitt Romney on Monday said his controversial statements caught on tape were “off the cuff” and “not elegantly stated,” but he defended the main message of his remarks.

Romney “defends himself”. This means defense rather than offense. This video is old news. The dems sat on this until the embassy crap and then pulled this out to detract and get romney on the defense.

At least part of the 47 percent represent people who are unemployed or gave up looking for work. Romney must be attacking obama and his policies which stifle growth and jobs. Attack policies not voters. Romney needs to get on offense and bring up the failed foreign policies as well and not fall for the distraction tactic. How did obama allow a “9/11” to occur on his watch? The dems are trying to change the subject.

He can turn this around and say his ideas and policies will benefit some of the 47% to pull themselves out of poverty and reap the rewards that he foresees for this country if we curtail spending and make sacrifices.
