After sparking anger nationwide by vocally supporting the fight against same-sex marriage, the Chick-fil-A fast-food chain has reportedly agreed to halt giving money to groups that seek to ban the practice.
The chain's president and son of its founder, Dan Cathy, sparked the furor in July, when he gave an interview to a Christian radio program in which he said "I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, 'We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage.'" He later said, "We want to do anything we possibly can to strengthen families."

What is an "anti-gay" charity? Any "charity" that won't bend over for them.
Either you support and participate in their mission or they will screw you over.

That makes sense. Just wish they didn’t have to do it “under the radar”. Our side seems to have to do that too often.

Chic-fil-A uses a non-traditional franchise system. Corporate Owens the store (land/building/lease). The employees are employees of corporate. The franchise holder is in a profit sharing agreement with corporate and acts as the “face” of CFL in the market.
The agreement that disclosed the change in policy was signed by the Director of Real Estate for CFL. It states that it ( via the charitable arm) will no longer fund the 2 charities that were listed in the dust-up over the summer.
So they are giving in to thugs using brown shirt tactics to silence those who disagree with them? Using intimidation and threats to silence your opposition is a direct threat to freedom of speech and expression.
CFA is compromising their values to appease the liberals. Halting support for pro-family groups is just the beginning. Homosexual activists won’t be satisfied until Dan Cathy is on his knees begging for forgiveness and have lesbian cows marrying.

This story has become completely twisted around. After a fairly vague statement from the NGO, there has been a concerted effort by the media to misinterpret it.
In just a couple of hours, I read that this “meant” any of the following: That it will no longer give money to groups that want homosexuality outlawed; that it is now *in favor* of homosexual marriage; that they are just no longer going to give money to political causes and politicians, etc.
In other words, the MSM is interpreting what they said to what the MSM *wishes* they had said.
I’ve seen another version of this story that ties it directly to the new store going into I think Boston, where the mayor has supposedly “relented” and will allow the restuarant, because of “assurances”. That story also suggests that this “new stance” is not a new one, but was posted on the company’s facebook page back in July when this started.
So that might be a place to start looking. I don’t think it was a change, I believe they’ve said they don’t specifically donate money to groups advocating against gay marriage, they give money to groups that support families. One of those groups is also a big player in defending marriage, but it isn’t the purpose of the group.
Was it Chicago? I thought this was the Boston one. I could well be wrong, I don’t remember which stupid mayor is which.

A lie. Can you link to this lie? It’s sickening how you and so many others have swallowed the BS the enemedia is pumping out here.
Additionally, they have sent an internal memo to franchisees and stakeholders that states that as a company, they will “treat every person with honor, dignity and respect-regardless of their beliefs, race, creed, sexual orientation and gender” and that their “intent is not to engage in political or social debates.” This statement was placed into an official company document called “Chick-fil-A: Who We Are.”
Look Dammit. CFA has ALWAYS maintained this Christ-like virtue; to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect-regardless of their beliefs, race, creed, sexual orientation and gender. This is NOT NEW.
Shame on so many of you.

I don’t know what they are or aren’t doing but as long as a corporation DOES NOT GIVE TO PRO-HOMO CAUSES or PROMOTE HOMO CAUSES (like Target) I’m relatively happy.
