has produced an uproar.

No. It hasn't. It should have, but the water-carrying media isn't interested.

Unfortunately, they sure do. “Gimme gimme gimme and make the rich pay for it.” Redistribution of wealth is not some social theory for most Americans. Its living the good life on someone else’s dime. 80 years of the Welfare State have conditioned people to think that is OK.

What’s particularly ironic is that due to money being a pretty good barometer of a person’s attitudes, the wealth just distributes itself right back again, away from the fools who spend it all on nookie and beer, and back to the ones making the widgits and investing their profits.

No, because we’ve never had to live through the horror of Stalin’s Russia or Castro’s Cuba or Mao’s Cultural Revolution. So large numbers of us think it’s a peachy-keen touchy-feelie idea.

Not only that but these people (ie. the OWS crowd) truely believe that if we just take a big chunk of cash from big corporations and the "rich", they won't really feel the difference, and everybody can then live without want of any kind, doing whatever they want to do.

Communism has worked NO WHERE ON EARTH. Why force it on the American people?

Usually the redistributors are coincidentally the redistributees. Castro is a prime example. Cubans are dirt poor, but the Castro brothers are billionaires.

Where? I hear nothing.

Yes, Americans do understand. But unfortunately most of them have been trained to think that redistribution is normal, noble and natural.

“Gimme gimme gimme and make the rich pay for it.”

Soon there will be no "rich" and all of us will be equally poor.

In the meantime YOU will stop working so you can get YOUR FAIR SHARE of what is stolen from those "rich". Right?

The right question should be -

"Do Americans truly understand CARE 'redistribution of wealth'?

Yes, the term Communism is like a dead language. Nobody speaks it, nobody understands it. It has been replaced with the more noble term “Progressive”.

It walks like a duck, it quacks like a duck, it must be a kitten.
The brainwashing preparation is complete.

I think there is some truth in your post.

That is why the opinion of those who have lived under REAL repressive societies carries weight with me. A few years back, I spoke with a man who had immigrated from the Soviet Union and became an American citizen, and he was nearly frantic with anxiety and anger over the things he was seeing in our government.

He recognized all the ploys, the propaganda, the code words, the promises as the road to tyranny, because he had seen them all and lived through them all before.

Many of us see it, but we know there is a portion of the american electorate out there that doesn’t see it at all.

Hearing the vehemence in his voice greatly disturbed me.

It isn’t about whether or not Communism “works” or is “fair.” “working.”
It is about power and privilege for the rulers.

Remember the prime motivator for your average sheeperal is to feel good about themselves as a “good person” through advocacy-based righteousness.

What and whom the support makes them “good”.

“Communist” and “communism” are overwhelmingly understood to be “bad” in our society and culture. You’ll never get a sheeperal to admit they support communist leaders or communism because those things are “bad”, and the sheeperal in question is “good” and would never support a “bad” person.

This is also why, when you point out the communist “quacking and walking”, they take it as a personal insult - because you are attacking their source of righteousness.

Of course ... WE know that.

That huge (and ever increasing) crowd of free loaders could care less about who is in possession of power or what they do with it....as long as their freebies continue uninterrupted.

Yes and it is never about results. Even the lies told by Zero; "most open/transparent administration, no lobbyist, blah blah blah".

This did not hold true for 10 seconds into his reign of failure. But that didn't matter, it made his fans "feel good" that they supported it.

Just like it made them "feel good" that Zero is a peace luvin antiwar leader...

Boy, are they going to be disappointed.
I don’t recall any REAL communist nation being big on “freebies.” I do recall them being big on forced labor, body counts, etc.

Fixed prices, fixed wages... wonderful.

You can go to work every day, arrive on time, do a good job and never be compensated any differently or any MORE than the guy next to you doing the same job but arriving late, drunk and sleeping on the job.

In the end, you will be producing crap products you can’t even sell at home...much less export.

It’s the sure road to a Micky Mouse economy, social instability, discord and grinding endless poverty!
