Well, at least he is still below the magic 50%.

Yeah.. very odd that Team RR had bad polling days this week during the work week.

Even the Daily Tracking poll by UnskewedPolls has shown a real tightening this week. It went from Team RR being +12 to just +3 in one day (of course, now that does speak negatively to their sampling to have such wild swings!)

I think all the stupid talk, even by GOP idiots, about the “inevitability” of Obama’s win, or how “badly” Romney is doing in polls becomes self-fulfilling at some point.

For some reason the guy who does the unskewed data changed his formula. He was using R+4. And went to D+0.5 - based on Rasmussen data. So maybe Ramussen changed his party id. Which would explain this as well.

Obama gained a point. Not Good! I am still trying to figure out what Romney is doing. I guess Wednesday Night is going to be his true test. He better hit it out of the park. Everyone said that McCain won all the debates last round but now they are saying he was an awful candidate. You could not see anyone saying he was an awful candidate until after the loss. I hope Romney is not following the same path. If Romney loses this election, we must listen to ME in 2016 and pick a 100 percent overly conservative Republican like Santorum or Bachmann. No more of the crap that they are out of touch....Obviously the liberal Republicans that are chosen are out of touch. America wants a CONSERVATIVE!!!! They don't want a fake Republican.

Hmmm....I'm I reading this right?....

48 + 46 + 3 + 4 = 101....not 100%

Which one of those numbers is improperly rounded up?

Not looking good for Romney, Obama is within a point of 50%, and this is from the Pollster we trust the most.

I agree. If Rasmussen sees it going Obama’s way, I believe it. I think all the other polls are heavily skewed with bogus samples. But the trend is clearly with Obama.

But it’s hard to fathom given the economic data and real scandal with Libya. It makes no sense at all. You can’t point to anything and say, “that’s why Obama is bumping up.”

Other than the corrupt media coverage.

I agree with you. The thing that concerns me thought is that I’m not sure that any Obama supporters would change their support right now if Romney were simply more conservative.

We shall see what the final outcome is.

I still find it hard to believe, based on fairly extensive anecdotal data (I travel all over the country on business) that Obama is ahead.

In 2008 when I was doing the same travels, I could hardly get any body in SFO or NYC or ORD to even acknowledge the Republican ticket

Now, those very same people say that they will never vote for Obama.

We shall see....maybe they are lying.. maybe the pollsters are lying.. maybe my gut is lying.. maybe I have accidently moved to a Bizzaro Universe where someone actually believes Obama

I don’t have a lot of hope for debates. Even if Romney kills it, the media will spin it that Obama won. Look at the pummeling Romney took on the mideast thing when he was RIGHT.

Romney has to pick up the commercials and NOW. I’m always left saying - “where’s the punch line”? “Where’s the rest of it”? The commercials aren’t even giving me a reason to vote for him and I’m supporting him.

If Obama wins, I’m done working my A** off for a bunch of illiterate free loaders like the cell phone woman.

There is an inevitability meme developing, with the help of Obama himself
and the press and the skewed polls.

So, if you are unsure, you just say “Obama.”

WHy not? HE didn’t just kill 4 Americans in Libya, which he decided on
his own to go into. Without consulting Congress.
He is responsible for the killing of these 4 people and for the
total embarrassment and loss of prestige for USA and the CIA intelligence
lost.
A Watergate coverup ensued. Lie after lie. To protect his sorry a**
of Bin Laden dead... AQ is gone.

He went on the View and Letterman.

He is still waging a psyops campaign — a Kardasian candidate

What can Romney do? He better go all out.

He has to make Obama live up to all his promises.

Why did you promise to close Guatanamo bay? WHy didn;t you?
Why Khalid Sheik Mohammed?
Why Stimulus 8% unemployment?
Why cut deficit in half first term?
Why 4$ trillion is unpatriotic -— you $6 Trillion in 4 years??
Why individual mandate? when you campaigned against it?
Why did you steal 716 billion from Medicare?
Why 15 member IPAB rationing board?
Why didn’t you take a personal briefing in the week before 9/11?
When you went into Libya and al-queda

If these tough questions aren’t confronted by Romney to Obama-—

It’s over. Cause the press is going to continue to lie and obfuscate

Obama has skated his entire life. Never held to account.

He should be fired.

Even Rasmussen shouldn't be rounding two number up. if their both at something +.5 ......

PS I know the rules of rounding but as you can see by this thread not many have caught what I've caught.....

It is really hard to believe that there are that many stupid people in this country. But the fact is, that so many people still get their news via the lamestream press - or just aren’t paying attention - so they don’t know the myriad ways we are getting screwed. I keep remembering Franklin’s words - “...a Republic, if you can keep it.” If these polls are true, there are a hell of a lot of people who don’t care if we keep it.

Yep. I was a little concerned when Drudge rolled out a week old PA poll last night. That thing was posted last Saturday night. And removed all week. And then suddenly up last night.

I was like, “Oh boy...They are reaching now for good news.”

Drudge is directly connected to Rhoades, inside the ROmney HQ.

Margin of error...ahem.

Exactly right. The margin of error means any poll results could randomly fall within a range of values. If reality was a 50%-50% split with plus or minus 5%, either party's poll numbers could randomly fall between 45% and 55%. One day could be 53%-47% and the next day could be 47%-53%. It would show a 6% swing even though nothing's changed.

I’m tempted to pay the $19.95 monthly fee at Raz just to see the internals.

Inside he gives you the exact numbers down to the decimal point.

It could be Obama 47.5 Romney 46.4. which is basically a tie, but rounded is a two point lead. I’m that desperate for good news. LOL!

As far as we know, Raz is using a D+2 Party ID weighting and a R+4 lead for Romney with independents. Without doing the math and assuming that the Dem voters vote D in the same proportion as GOP voters vote R, one would expect the average Obama lead in his polls to be between 1 and 2 percent.

Sound familiar?

These polls, all of them, are too volatile to be able to detect 1-3 point shifts from day to day. There was also a poll showing a 51% disapproval of Obama’s performance in swing states.

The bottom line is that this is a tight race, in part because Romney was generally correct about the 47%. We're getting into the late innings of this race, and it's time to be tough and optimistic. Turnout will be a big determinant, and let's just make that happen and win. This can be a great election for us. The other side is just as anxious.

We need to look at it this way. Given the overwhelming corruptness of thee media, Romney is only down a point or two down with 38 days to go. Not exactly out of it.

And he supposedly has a war chest he is ready to unleash (although it continues to be delayed for some odd reason).

But we will see. It is not over by any means. Down 2 is nothing. Reagan was down 12 or so in mid October.

Plus anecdotally I don’t see it. I dont see any Obama stickers, yard signs etc. I feel like I am in the Iraq watching Baghdad Bob on TV. Nothing seems true.

Ras is using a D+2.5 sample. Which is fair. Hey, if it is a R+2 turnout, we win big. Even with an D+2 turnout, historically we win.

That is so true. I was thrilled that Ryan was chosen but he does seem to be a ghost except for the announcement that he agrees with gays in the military. I just don’t understand why he is not slamming Obama every minute and instead seems to be saying he agrees with Obama on certain issues. Very weird election AGAIN. I feel like such a jerk for slamming Newt all those months during the primary. I wanted Santorum so bad that I helped let the worst guy in. If we could have Newt with Santorum as VP or even Ryan as VP, this election would turn out very differently. Lost opportunity again!

“When are we going to stop using “red” for GOP and “blue” for DemCommies. Commies are “RED”, blood red”

The networks used to be inconsistent on this. I think it was CBS that had blue for Republicans a long way back.

I’m convinced they all agreed for R-Red D-Blue (1992?) to avoid the Red-Communist-Democrat association. A very subtle case of media bias which is now entrenched in the culture.
