Obama's Rope-a-Dope?
Original Content | 10/04/12 | Jdsteel

President Obama may not be as skilled an orator as he is thought to be by the media, but he is not as inept as he came across in the first debate. I believe he purposefully stumbled. The stammering, the lack of focus, at one point bumping the microphone were in my opinion a carefully constructed act. I believe he is trying to set the stage for a knock-out punch to his opponent in the next debate. From now until then the media will focus on Obama and his need to have a strong showing. If I am right the question is will Romney be prepared?

You got the "dope" part right.

Obama is just not that smart. He has never before been challenged on a national stage by well-prepared, knowledgeable and capable opponent.

Now, Obama will likely be more comfortable in the "town hall" debate. But he will still face a challenger who is clearly not as listless and uninspiring as John McCain was four years ago.

He’s debating foreign policy next, you know his policies of destroying our allies, showing weakness to our enemies and arming/fighting FOR terrorists to get them in power. What could go wrong for him?

LOL. What could possibly go wrong?

I think he may prepare better, but claiming this is a rope a dope to showcase his great accomplishments foreign policy while he has been helping the muzzie world burn, rage, pillage, and kill is slightly deranged.

Wow!
it would seem that some here are slightly under a spell.
A little kool-aid can’t hurt, can it?

Heard a radio talk show host here in knoxville saying that this was all part of the obama plan also....what is wrong with these people.

I am looking forward to Paul Ryan's debate.

The humor and irony will likely last for a month.......

Mitt Romney has worked toward this goal for most of his lifetime.

But he DID get it, didn’t he? Look how much money he has made for, and given to, these people. And all he had to do for it was to give a few speeches and tout his blackness.
For four years he has lived like a king inside a prison, watched every minute. He’s ready to go.

I think you’ve nailed it. Bammy’s not worried because he knows the outcome - dirty tricks and criminal action - will give him a second term. Bummer has never run a dirt-free campaign and he’s not about to start.

I truly believe that the ONLY way for Mitt to beat him is for republicans and conservatives to come out in huge numbers to offset the cheating that will occur by the rats.

Romney better be ready, next time Obama will attack and throw the kitchen sink at Romney.

It's plain that Obama is lost without his teleprompter's help. The only way he'll do well next time is if he's allowed a teleprompter, an ear piece or even que-cards. He is not his own man and needs his controllers to put words in his mouth.

Newt said if he was the nominee, he would have allowed Bathhouse Barry to use TOTUS...just to make it fair.

I’d be willing to bet that there will be a “crisis” soon that will preclude any more debates.

Viewing goes down for next debate.

Plus, his foreign policy record is WORSE.

Biden will get destroyed as well.

There’s no conspiracy or plan here; there’s massive incompetence.

Even the MSM can’t put Obama Dumpy back together again.

He’s playing Sonny Liston to Romney’s Cassius Clay.

Nothing like leaning int a right cross. Spoils your whole day.

If so, it’s a very ill-advised strategy since Obama had momentum and the last thing he needed was to not only give up his momentum but also appear weak and make himself the subject of mockery. Romney’s dominance will likely garner him a much needed bump in the polls, as well as a sizable spike in campaign donations.

In the end, my guess is that Romney is simply a better debater and on top of that this is the first time that Obama has had to defend his record in a debate. Before, he was virtually a blank slate and thus could easily go on the offensive while making lofty promises about all the things he could do if elected.

Obama is like the backup quarterback who all the fans were clamoring for but now that he’s had his shot he no longer looks near as good as he did while standing on the sideline. He’s thrown incompletion after incompletion. And yet with much help from the referees, he still managed to on the verge of scoring the winning touchdown when instead Romney finally broke through the big guys up front protecting Obama (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC — who also double as the aforementioned referees) and sacked him for a huge loss.

Can the big guys regroup in time to carry Obama across the goal line once again? We’ll see. But things just got a whole lot harder for them and their guy.
