Amen to that, Vince!
Oh no! Now NPR will start doing warm fuzzy stories about Democrats and critical ones about conservatives, all the while denying that they’re based.
Wait - that’s what they already do.
Exactly...
Any spending that is NOT related to Constitutionally mandated costs need to GO!
Use that scalpel....
Right. So according to this article we should just keep wasting money and let Obama run up trillions more.
The left always uses Sesame Street as their example while ignoring the fact that NPR spouts left-wing drivel 24/7. I wonder how happy the libs would be if tax dollars were used to put Limbaugh, Hannity, and Beck on the air.
Cutting things like PBS and NPR when we have to borrow from China impresses the people we need energized to vote - vote for Romney!
Knocking down Obamacare will go a long way toward cutting the deficit.
Big Bird? He should be on commercial TV.

You echo my thoughts exactly. Of course eliminating this or that non-entitlement program won’t save us. We know the real spectre. But no one will go after SS, Medicare, etc., and unless it is rescinded ASAP soon no one will go after Obamacare. If they did, our streets might look like Greece. Gotta start somewhere, where many can agree and interested parties won’t throw Molotov cocktails to defend them.
His approach is right on. Quit borrowing money from China to pay for stuff like NPR.
Well, put in mind that NPR also adds insult to injury by demanding donations in addition to the subsidies that they run on.
I thought it was indicative of Romney’s night that he would say he would cut support for NPR etc. to Jim Lehers face right off the bat.
You mean other networks wouldn’t fall over themselves backwards to host Sesame Street?
Neither will cutting the $2.8 billion tax credits to oil producers.
Big bird is just symbolic, and there are many “big birds” with government spending, which, when added together, will come to a very considerable amount.
When is PBS NOT doing fundraising during their evening shows? It's more irritating watching them than watching network TV, never mind the program content!
A Big Bird here, a Big Bird there, and pretty soon we’re talking about real money. I love how the left looks at cutting “small” programs singularly within the context of the entire budget, without adding all of those programs up. And you’re right, Vince - if we can’t cut programs like CPB, NPR, PBS, NEA, NEH, etc., then we can’t cut diddly.
Sesame Street makes millions in royalties. They can pay their way.
