The Phony 'Jobs Recovery'
Tea Party Tribune ^ | 2012-10-05 07:11:33 | mrcurmudgeon

By Mr. Curmudgeon:

Today's headline should read, "U.S. Unemployment remains unchanged at 14.7%." You won't hear that, of course. Instead, the Obama media will trumpet the phony 7.8% unemployment rate. As CNBC put it, "The falling jobless rate had been a function as much of a continued shrinking in the labor force as it was in increase of new positions."

In other words, we will continue to see "official unemployment" drop as the Obama depression widens, businesses fail or downsize, and individuals receiving unemployment insurance run through their "Obama money" and join the ranks of the hopelessly unemployed.

Romney hinted at this during his first debate with President Obama in Denver last Wednesday, "What we're seeing right now is, in my view, a - a trickle-down government approach which has government thinking it can do a better job than free people pursuing their dreams. And it's not working.

"And the proof of that is 23 million people out of work. The proof of that is one out of six people in poverty. The proof of that is we've gone from 32 million on food stamps to 47 million on food stamps. The proof of that is that 50 percent of college graduates this year can't find work."

He forgot to mention that last September, 368,000 Americans joined the ranks of those who remain unemployed and have giving up searching for work.

Romney needs to be unrelenting in attacking the phony Department of Labor Statistics U-3 (7.8%) unemployment figure that does not express the real misery of the forgotten man in the "Obama recovery": The chronically unemployed joining the 47 million Americans now on food stamps.

” Romney needs to be unrelenting in attacking the phony Department of Labor Statistics U-3 (7.8%)”

On this, he is doing pretty well.

The Household Survey now claims that in one month 873,000 magically found work but there were only about 115,000 jobs available.

Hilda Solis’s Magic Jobs Machine at the Labor Dept. went one bridge too far with this ludicrous report. No one believes they “found” almost 900,000 new jobs in September.

Maybe they got their employment numbers confused with the number of applications for an ObamaPhone.

Life expectancy up 29% under Obama
MSNBC | 10/5/12

In a startling development, the Federal Health and Human Services Department announced this morning that the average life expectancy of Americans has jumped to 98, a 29% increase since 1983.

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, in an unscheduled news conference this morning, addressed a crowd of reporters and health professionals.

“We are proud to announce that as a result of President Obama’s and First Lady Michelle’s efforts over the past four years, the average life expectancy has risen 29%, to the age of 98. Programs to ban large soft drinks, force school children to eat arugala, close-down Chick-fil-A restaurants, and add a new healthcare premium for people who are overweight have paid off.”

Questions from reporters about this figure being possible because young people who are out of work are no longer being counted in the population were not answered.

“We are embarking upon a promising new future,” said Sebelius. “We expect the average age of Americans to rise to 120 with the expected reelection of President Obama.”

Breaking...

Praise to Lord Obozo, who walks on water, heals the sick, stops unemployment, protects our ambassadors and has made our economy the strongest in the world.

I've been saying for quite a while that I don't think they are planning to count the votes this year. Obama wins, with 51% of the total, and a good margin in the electoral college.

You gonna challenge?????

The polls say he's ahead.
The numbers say he's fixing stuff.

If you say that he stole the election, the cities will burn, and burn, and burn. I say that Obama can blatantly, obviously, and openly steal this election. He lies about all th elabor statisitcs -- what makes you think he can't lie about the election results?

As someone who has been unemployed/underemployed since O’Bumbnler was immaculated, I can only state that this top line number is sad. It is sad because the only hope for a real recovery is that Mitt Romney becomes President and this lie only helps to lessen that possibility.

There are millions upon millions of Americans who NEED a new president and new direction. We are desperate.

I have a college degree in Business several state licenses and a twenty five year history of success in business. I can not even get a phone call much less an interview for a job that offers even a token salary. I have never scene anything like this in my life. If this isn't a depression, than there is no such thing as a depression. Yet, we have the government LIEING to us in order to protect the dear reader from his just deserts.

It is depressing, it is disheartening, it is a national disaster.

Everything this guy touches turns to crap and half the country will still willingly vote for this fool!

No one believes

I found 2 on twitter after I tweeted about the 7.8 and 14 thousand. One was nice enough to call me an idiot and the other fellow told me to stop whining.

In July, 181,000 jobs were added: 8.3% unemployment
In August, 142,000 jobs were added: 8.1% unemployment
September, 114,000 jobs were added: 7.8% unemployment.
Yeah, right! Anything to get re-elected!
