Romney cites 'job crisis' despite employment gains (AP thinks UE no longer an issue)

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Declaring that the nation is in a "jobs crisis," Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is charging ahead with his economic arguments in spite of unemployment dropping to its lowest level since President Barack Obama took office.

Romney all but ignored the positive jobs numbers while campaigning Friday night in Florida, instead highlighting his strong debate performance and presenting a more compassionate message as he sought to overcome Obama's narrow lead in the polls. He made clear earlier in the day that he did not agree with the president's assessment that the unemployment statistic — it dipped from 8.1 percent to 7.8 percent in September — is a sign of an economy heading in the right direction.

Does Jay Carney work for AP now? Damn, what a clueless article! UE dropping is a fluke based off of a BLS household survey that said that nearly 900,000 people found jobs last month—the highest in 30 years.

My ass. Seriously, everybody’s ass.

You can't have less unemployment without less people on the government dole.

The 7.8% unemployment numbers should also reflect that less people are on the government dole therefore reducing the 47% who are living on welfare, food stamps, dependent on government.

Romney all but ignored the positive jobs numbers while campaigning Friday night in Florida, instead highlighting his strong debate performance . . .

I guess they missed Mitt's response about how his policies will result in low unemployment due to the creation of jobs vs. Zero's policies which "reduce" it due to people giving up and dropping out of the job market.

I can hear a future debate where Mitt schools Zero again by explaining that adding milli9ons to the Food Stamp program and to SSI disability roles does not jibe with an improving jobs market...

‘Positive job numbers’... Canada, with roughly a 10th of your population created 52,000 jobs in September... That is a positive job number. If that number had been 5,200 jobs and our media tried to claim that it was ‘positive’, there would be riots in the streets. LOL

Obama will have to have the skill to articulate EXACTLY which of his policies or actions have created which jobs and how that was done and how it looks moving into the future. Otherwise it is just a fluke or a lie to say that “THE ECONOMY” (define that too) is going in the right direction. Without specifics it means nothing.
