New ad campaign exposes how Planned Parenthood destroyed the black family
Life Site News ^ | October 6, 2012 | RYAN BOMBERGER

VIRGNIA BEACH, October 6, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com)—The Radiance Foundation, in partnership with the Virginia Coalition for Life, has launched a wide-scale TooManyAborted.com billboard campaign in Hampton Roads, Virginia, with the messaging: “Fatherhood Begins in the Womb.”

Twenty-one billboards and more than 100 bus and light rail posters have been placed throughout the region to raise awareness of the impact of fatherlessness on (born and unborn) children. The pro-family, pro-adoption initiative challenges the culture of abandonment and death that Roe v. Wade has fostered since 1973.

In the early 1960s politicians raised the alarm about a 25 percent fatherlessness rate in the black community. Today, 41 percent of all U.S. children are born to unmarried women: 35.7 percent of white children and an astounding 72.3 percent of black children. Children who grow up in single female-led homes are five times more likely to live in poverty. Out of the 1.21 million annual U.S. abortions, 84 percent are among unmarried women. This is a nationwide crisis.

Abortion and poverty have taken the place of fathers.

Infant mortality is nearly two times higher among homes with absent fathers. Yet Planned Parenthood of Southeast Virginia (PPSEV) distorted black infant mortality rates to get approval from the Virginia Department of Health for an expansion to their Virginia Beach abortion center. The request was publicly rejected, then approved behind closed doors.

PPSEV falsely claims their new medical addition will be used mostly for “urinary incontinence procedures.”

Ryan Bomberger, Chief Creative Officer of The Radiance Foundation, points out the absurdity. “Planned Parenthood isn’t in the business of doing ‘urinary incontinence procedures,’” he said. “Abortion is what they do. Using 43 black infant deaths (in 2010) to justify causing more deaths is despicable.” Bomberger, who is black, is an adoptee, as well as an adoptive father and Emmy award-winning creative professional. “We need efforts that uplift the family, encourage responsibility and actually reduce the unintended pregnancy rate. Planned Parenthood has grossly failed at this core Title-X function by not budging the national unintended pregnancy rate since 1995, despite receiving half-a-billion taxpayer dollars annually.”

Star Parker, syndicated columnist and President of C.U.R.E. (Center for Urban Renewal & Education), adds, “Planned Parenthood has injected its venom into urban America for decades. TooManyAborted.com exposes how they’ve left our inner-cities fatherless and made abortion the number one killer of black Americans.”

“Bomberger, who is black, is an adoptee, as well as an adoptive father and Emmy award-winning creative professional.”

He sounds like a great guy! I’m glad they are doing this.

This, to me, has been Obama’s greatest failure - he could have really done something (or tried to do something) about the state of the black family.

At the start of his term he had almost universal goodwill, even from some on our side (although not me because he is a communist, but leave that aside for now); he had “cool”; he had the bully pulpit; he had a wife and two lovely children; he even had the narrative of coming from a (twice) broken home himself. But, he hadn’t perpetuated that into the next generation.

He could very well have gone out and spoken to young black men, urged them to marry their gals, form intact families, be real parents to their kids. Maybe only a few would have taken his message to heart, but I’m sure SOME people would have. And who knows how a thing like that might take off. You never really know what will grab the public’s imagination.

But, insofar as I know, he’s never said one d*mn word about any of this. A unique opportunity squandered by a man who thinks about no one but himself.

The rejection of God killed the black family.

Great post. You’re so right about that missed opportunity.

Then I remind myself: Why would he want to help cure this problem? He and his commie fellow-travelers stand to gain too much by all those black useful idiots, just as he gained from them in Chicago.

I agree. The _resident had the bully pulpit & could have done some good things for blacks in our country in spite of his being a marxist.
As it is now when he loses the election we will have the strong possibility of racial confrontation. I don’t think even he knows how much damage he has done to race relations. Or maybe he does?

The headline should read “ How Abortion ruined America”. Government Abortion took away too many American children and replaced them with the poor of other nations who do not have our sense of pride and patriotism. Many of the illegals that I work with have a love of their country and contempt of us and our country

Thanks worker.

You are both right I’m afraid. Those on the left wish to “rule us all” as the saying goes. They’ve done a great job making approx. 35% (I won’t go as high as 47!) of the people very easy to rule.

I really think Republicans/Tea Partiers/Conservatives need to make reaching out to the black community a big priority. They’ve been completely ill served by the Left/Dems for 3 generations now. Their families have been destroyed, their children are illiterate, they are plagued with black-on-black crime (no one cares about black murder victims unless they are among the very small percent who get killed by white people) and of all the groups in the US, I think they’d be ready for a change and some real hope.

I’m not saying this would be easy, for a long while it would probably prove a thankless task. But I think Americans in general will give you a fair hearing and I think in the long run it would prove fruitful.

As one guy said at a tea party meeting I went to, you don’t need to get all, or even most, or even a lot of black people to vote for you, if you could just get another 10% you’d be in great shape. (That’s my number, I don’t remember exactly what he said.)

It’s essential to enlist blacks in our cause, we’ll never get the public schools straightened out without them, for just one example.

jocon,

I competely understand your sentiments with this. My concern is that “reaching out” to any particular minority reinforces a stereotype about conservatism, that somehow it’s a “white” person’s game. I prefer to take the path that Conservatives state who and what they are, proudly and forthrightly, without deference to ANY race, ethnicity or religious class. Rather, it is all about Americanism — and that is something that is for everyone. It should never be divvied up into categories of people.

Maybe that’s Pollyanna-ish of me, I don’t know, but that’s what I believe. I think the entire Tea Party movement is based on that, and should continue to reflect that. We/It should never surrender to the PC premise that somehow, minorities need to have special accommodations than other “regular” Americans.

I agree with you, what I mean to suggest is just reaching out to people with our message, not shying away because we’ll get a cool reception or it won’t win enough votes.

And how many children’s have we read about that were beaten and/or murdered by the mother’s ‘boyfriend,’ who was not necessarily the biological father?

Many African Americans are pro life, anti gay.

And the conservative movement welcomes them. Conservatism is not a color, faith or ethnicity. It's only the Democommiesocialists who would have you believe otherwise.

You are so very right about what Obama could have, and should have done in being a true leader. A leader he is NOT!

And of course, Obama has promised to overturn the law prohibiting partial birth abortion. Sure he would get to do that if he is re-elected.

Herman Cain was just starting on this track, regarding the holocaust of black children spearheaded by the Democrat party.

Regardless of what one things of abortion in general, or high levels of abortion of black babies in particular, this issue has the potential to rip blacks loose from the Democrat party - maybe not become Republicans right away, but certainly look askew at the white Democrats trouncing around about how important a high rate of abortion is.

But the Republicans would have move out on that tact...and I think they’re just too shell-shocked to even try it.
