......security cameras caught them returning the next night and taking another 300 gallons of gas, some of it going to a tank in the truck's bed.

He said they came back again during store hours and siphoned 300 more gallons, but a cashier recognized the suspicious vehicle and took down its license plate.

Way too many people do not understand how siphoning works.

I believe that is unlikely that thieves could ‘siphon’ gasoline from an underground storage tank in to a tank in their truck bed.

Siphoning is a process by which a fluid is moved from a higher elevation to a lower elevation through a tube by the actions of gravity and vacuum. This is a very simple principle which the average reporter should know.

Being that the gasoline is at a lower elevation in the underground tank a pump would be required to move the gasoline from the tank to the truck.

Five dollar gas will swing California to Romney!

Even in Texas I hear that gas is $5.00 a gallon!

Romney's Campaign ads are almost to easy to write in this election year....

Obama's plan putting Americans back to work:

$ 5.00 Gasoline, putting Americans to work... Sarcasm...

Obama's plan for a thriving Economy.

Economy Recovery plan... $ 5.00 Gasoline.. Sarcasm...

If Romney and his team do not use this in his debates and TV ads, then he is as lame as McCain...

‘Even in Texas I hear that gas is $5.00 a gallon!.

Regular about $3.30 yesterday afternoon at the corner gas dispensary near IH-35 and US-190...

The one thing I like about the clown in the White House is that he made me appreciate $3.00 gasoline...

reverse the rule forcing those 1,000 different blends

Let the Liberals pay the extra cost of the “ Special Blends “ of Gasoline, while us poo folk ( for those in Rio Linda, that’s poor people ) get the relief of cheaper gasoline.

That is pretty darn brazen, isn’t it? Very bold.

This is not a good sign.

Well, they supposedly have a license plate number...

I can’t imagine that just everybody buys 300 gallon tanks, either.

This is sad but I hope it is just some illegal aliens that have a pot farm in the woods and said F-it to the cost of fuel.
