Philippine President Benigno Aquino III said Sunday that his government has reached a preliminary peace agreement with the nation's largest Muslim rebel group in a major breakthrough toward ending a decades-long insurgency in the country's south.

The accord calls for the establishment of a 15-member "Transition Commission" that would thresh out the details of the preliminary agreement and draft a law creating the new Muslim autonomous region in about two years.

The rebels would undertake a "graduated program" to decommission their armed guerrilla units "so that they are put beyond use," the agreement said, without specifying a timetable.

The deal marks the most significant progress in 15 years of negotiations with the 11,000-strong Moro group on ending an uprising that has left more than 120,000 people dead and held back development in the south.

Islam, retrograde cultures and death...kissing cousins...

PEace? THis is capitulation, pure and simple. Terrorists destroy your home and then you reward them with a peace for them to build their own home next to yours.

Besides, extremists are just the secret agents of regular muslims.

a decades-long insurgency in the country’s south
... has left more than 120,000 people dead
///
you are very correct.
but i’m glad to see this on FOX.
most people, are very surprised,
when i tell them about Muslims
killing people even in Phillipines.
-
most people don’t know, Muslims kill,
EVERYWHERE they exist in large numbers.
-
Islam is seditious by it’s own words.
It is hate speech, and incitement,
by it’s own words in the Koran.
...ALL civilized nations, should ban it!

“What Philippine President Benigno Aquino ? you surrender Cebu to the Muslims ?”

I have been here for four years and have yet to see a Muzie.
Just where on Cebu are all these Muslims?
To be fair, I imagine there are a few in Cebu city, and maybe even a mosque, but I am not aware of it.
It is hard to imagine them taking over such a strong Catholic country. They should be happy with their little autonomous region on Mindanao.

Some peace agreement. This is simply surrendering a part of the Philippines to the Muslims - something that they’ll be happy with for about a week, and then they’ll want another part of the Philippines, and then another...

When savages are willing to negotiate, that’s when you know it’s time to unleash everything you’ve got against them.

Exactly. When the bad guys are willing to negotiate it means they finally realizr they are losing,so then hit them as hard as you can until they surrender unconditionally.Total surrender is the only victory that really counts. Then you disarm the savages, close down all the hate teaching madrasssas(schools) and so on.
