Our First Dictator is hoping that this is the season for Communist victories in the Americas. They cheat and then turn out the tanks and troops to make sure the “celebration” doesn’t get out of control. Communists and Muslims never tell the truth, and BO is a “twofer.”

A dictator that knows how to steal an election, just one more reason why Chavez is Obama’s idol.

You let the people off too easily. The entire system is rigged to benefit Chavez, but it is likely a majority of Venezuelan's did in fact turn out and vote for him. The opposition, Capriles, conceded defeat.

Socialism is an addictive drug. It is probably most dangerous and most difficult to reverse when a population willingly chooses it. Venezuela is a client state now. The majority poor feel they rely on government at this point - and once that happens it is painfully difficult to get folks to vote against the government they feed off of. We are not so far behind here in the USA.

Hugo Chavez endorsed Obama's re-election and said that Baraq would vote for him as well.

“he will be taken out by his own people now that they’ve finally realized what he’s done.”

I hope they hid their guns, private possesion and sales to citizens were outlawed in June. Co-incidence??

Actually, it's a tipping-point condition. The point where his enforcers, the military, and the other official apparatchiks of his administration realize that allegiance to him is not worth their off-duty lives.

It could take time, but when some of them start turning up dead and missing, news gets around quickly...

You have to realize that the reasons the people that voted against Hugo did what they did is because they are very very dissatisfied with conditions. It doesn’t take it to get much worse for some of them to start taking their own action....Hugo can’t fight that.

Why did they have to say ANYTHING about this election? They withhold comment on dozens of events each week. Why CONGRATULATE him?

Rush closed with the observation that now Axelrod can come back to the USA and concentrate on Obama’s election.

despite exit polls showing the opposition to President Hugo Chavez winning.

Folks, we can't complain about the exit polls here, and then point to the exit polls elsewhere as evidence of any kind of fraud.

Yes, I'm aware that the situation is a bit different in Venezuela, and that voters are likely to be intimidated by exit pollers. If anything, I'd expect the exit polls in Venezuela to be biased in FAVOR of Chavez.

But, we have all seen how the left has complained that exit polls (especially in Ohio) are different than the election result and that's evidence that evil Republicans stuffed the ballot box.

For what it is worth: In the US, the difference between exit polls and actual election results were GREATEST when the exit pollers were young, female graduate students. I'll leave it as an exercise to the reader to figure out why that might be significant. :-)
