I think you put your finger on why Romney and we who support him should feel confident of the outcome of the next debates. I'm sure the liberal moderator will try to squelch Romney, but that really is the only potential weapon left for "the one." I don't think Romney will remain supine if he encounters that.

Instinctively, OBAMA leaps back as ROMNEYE’S giant hands come
smashing down in the spot where OBAMA stood. The gallery
scatters screaming as OBAMA runs for the door. Slavering,
ROMNEYE thunders after him. OBAMA runs through the exit,
bolting the door behind him. ROMNEYE follows, tearing the
door apart, and bringing the entire courtroom wall down in

Speaking for myself, I think that Obama did an absolutely splendid job in Denver last Wednesday night and my advice to him is to not change a thing!

But what nobody knew, until now, was that Obama believed he had actually won.
In my 70+ years, when I have seen mental problems and denial of the obvious, like what was observed and cited here. I automatically think what we are seeing/hearing is due to alcohol/drug abuse plus the mental disorders which renders a person incapable of admiting they were wrong.
We have to fire this insane bastard this November before he destroys our country and us.

IF you are accurate, and I believe that is very likely, a corollary is that it will be impossible for him to win the next debates.
He will become so tensed up during the debate prep that his emotions will get in the way of learning how to handle different situations. Either his handlers will decide they better ease up, in which case he will be unprepared; or they will hammer him enough in the preparation that he will go on stage paralyzingly nervous about how well he will perform during the next two hours, and therefore fail completely.
This reads like a combination of trying to lull Romney into complacency and drastically lowering expectations before the remaining debates.
I don’t believe a word of it. This sort of thing could only come from a top member of Obama’s political team, and none of them are about to do something (like petty backbiting and leaking) that undermines their shot at a second term)

He took an Incomplete during his 4th year, because he still has more ‘fundamental change’ to initiate. Most others are still giving him an F.
