There’s no way that even the most biased media can continue covering for the utter incompetence of the Obama Administration. They got people killed in Libya, and they’ve been lying to the American people for weeks. Critical mass on this story has been achieved; cracks are appearing in the media embargo; and it’s now utterly laughable to thaw out the media action line from September 12, which held that Mitt Romney made some sort of horrible “gaffe” by criticizing the Administration’s conduct.
Eli Lake at the Daily Beast reports that there were actually two bombing attempts on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi over the past five months. The Administration is not advancing this information – it’s coming from whistleblower testimony before the House Oversight Committee. Lake pieces it together at the Daily Beast:
For example, following a May 22 early-morning attack on a facility that housed the International Committee on the Red Cross, a Facebook page claimed responsibility, and said the attack was a warning and a “message for the Americans disturbing the skies over Derna.” That reference was likely to American surveillance drones over a city that provided fighters to al Qaeda in Iraq in the last decade.In June a Facebook page associated with militants linked to the late Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi posted a threat to Stevens based on the route he took for his morning jog. The Facebook page also posted a picture of Stevens. The letter to Clinton notes that “after stopping these morning runs for about a week, the Ambassador resumed them.”
A senior State Department official contacted for this story said the ambassador was “not reckless” with his own security or that of his staff. But this official also acknowledged that the ambassador was “an old-school diplomat” and strongly desired to have...

Where is Eli Lake getting his information? How does he know that two former security guards were the perps who threw a homemade bomb at the US mission? It was nowhere on the net prior to his revelation. If he got the info from intel sources...how did they know? Lake worked as a reporter for the state department at one time...my gut tells me he’s making it all too easy and something else was afoot.

It's a rational argument for conservatives living in states with closed primaries, moonbats have a huge, local registration advantage and moving isn't an option. If you want to vote in GOP or other primaries, then you have to observe the registration deadlines.

Iraq: Obama removed US Troops not for campaign promise but to allow terrorist to overthrow that gov't and get power. Terrorist attacks are on the rapid increase.
Syria: Obama supports rebels. Rebels are terrorist led.
End game is simply Syria, Libya, Egypt and Iraq joining Iran in destroying Israel.

IIRC, there was no word in Arabic for democracy, and the current chaos can be viewed as the logical result of GWB's intervention in Iraq and Afghanistan. We didn't really comprehend that we were dealing with religious extremism, and its acceptance in that part of the world. Various Sunnis and Shiites picked up the ball, and they are running with it.

The largest number of foreign fighters that we fought in Iraq came from Libya, another tribal society. I expect nothing good.

That was according to the already agreed upon schedule from GWB's administration and Maliki. People will argue about whether a status of forces agreement was ever possible in order to have some residual forces there, or that Obama just didn't try hard enough to get the agreement.

Obama supports some of the rebels, but not with weapons so far, at least not publicly. Some of the rebels are supported by Al Qaeda affiliated terrorists. The Sunnis are the majority in Syria. Their Muslim Brotherhood took over Hama in 1982. Assad's father crushed them. Estimates of the dead were in the tens of thousands. Kurds, Shia, Alawites and the remaing Christians have reasons to fear the Sunni majority. Our NATO ally Turkey was firing artillery into Syria for most of the last week in retaliation for one Syrian mortar attack that killed five civilians. I'm not sure if they stopped yet.
End game is simply Syria, Libya, Egypt and Iraq joining Iran in destroying Israel.
They are all too messed up to do anything resembling a coordinated attack. Which is not to say Israel can relax. Just normal surveillance. They'll know about any massing of troops.
