The fatal attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound in Libya last month has become a test of Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s leadership and a threat to her much-admired legacy as America’s top diplomat just a few months before she plans to step down.
Clinton was among the first Obama administration officials to publicly condemn the attack and mourn the deaths of Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. But as the State Department has weathered Republican-led criticism that it misread warning signs before the Sept. 11 attack, Clinton has been far less visible.
Clinton will not appear at a Wednesday oversight hearing on the Libya attack, where House Republicans have said they will question the State Department’s security preparations and the administration’s account of the attack. The State Department will instead send a trusted career diplomat along with three security officials.
Ahead of the hearing, State Department officials provided new details about the attack while asserting that there had been no way to predict or prevent the sustained assault.

My first reaction that day was disbelief when I saw her attempt to sell the crazy notion that friendly Libyans were assisting the wounded Ambassador and respectfully transported him to the hospital where they did everything to save his life.
I had just seen the photos on twitter that said otherwise - and if any joe shmoe can see this stuff on twitter, then I assumed our DC officials have seen it too.
It is unbelievable how they will go out there and tell bold lies like that.

the attack that murdered the Ambassador.
Meanwhile, the US Congress remains asleep

Pre planned attack means:

2. Where was our pre planning? Where was the security? Were tree warnings? Yes. So why no response?

Hillary Rodham Clinton testified for more than four hours today before a Federal grand jury investigating whether there has been obstruction of justice at the White House in the inquiry into the First Lady’s former Arkansas law firm.
With a nervous but determined smile, Mrs. Clinton emerged from the extensive grand jury session and declared, “I tried to be as helpful as I could in their investigation efforts.”
It’s been a long day,” she said after enduring the extraordinary event of the President’s wife being summoned to defend her veracity in the convoluted issue, known broadly as Whitewater, that has been intensifying in the opening weeks of a Presidential election year.
“I was glad to have the opportunity to tell the grand jury what I have been telling all of you,” she told a throng of reporters who had waited into the evening darkness for her to emerge from the Federal courthouse. “I do not know how the billing records came to be found where they were found, but I am pleased that they were found because they confirm what I have been saying,” she declared. She also confirmed that much of the questioning concerned the copies of long-sought billing records from her days at the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock, Ark., that mysteriously turned up three weeks ago.
