JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Missouri Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill took aim Wednesday at Republican challenger Todd Akin with a new series of TV ads featuring rape survivors outraged by Akin's remark about "legitimate rape" and his opposition to emergency contraception.
The three separate ads feature individual testimonials from three women who said they were raped, including one who describes herself as a "pro-life" Republican and another self-described "pro-life mother" who calls herself a "woman of faith."

McCaskill is scum.
I’m not overly impressed with Akin, but she is scum.
Just another form of parading the corpses for political purposes.
FUBO & FAD
It’s the only ammunition she has, and he screwed up by giving it to her. I still think he will win by a couple of points, but this should have been a cakewalk.
Libs just can't help themselves.
Democrats should change their name to the Victims Party. Roll out victims on TV or in Congress.
The WORST victim was Sandra Fluke, a law student at an EXPENSIVE private law school who wants us to pay for his birth control. Psst. Go to a public university law school and buy your own birth control, you leftist sow.
Choices are a bitch.
This will help Akin a bit. True sleaze.
Pictures of aborted babies are quite gruesome too.
Sure- salt-of-the-earth pro-life women shilling for this scumbag. B.S.
how about Akin respond with a video of a ‘partial birth’ abortion (that McCaskill and Obama support)
Akin needs to investigate all the women in these ads to determine if the ones that claim to to Republicans actually are Republicans and to determine if they are legitimate in their claim that they were actually raped.
how about Akin respond with a video of a ‘partial birth’ abortion (that McCaskill and Obama support)
legitimate in their claim that they were actually raped.
Or if they were legitimately raped...as it were, of course...
It is well known among rational people that DemoCRATS are professional liars, though the bar is very low.
I don't care how good a coservative he is otherwise, he needed to acknowledge his error and gotten out of the way for a less damaged candidate.
Somehow if the taxpayers don’t pay for it, it doesn’t exist
Not the only ammunition, just the latest. She's been running ads with his quotes on student loans and Medicare and Social Security and the like as well.

Ads are here.
Mildly creepy IMO.
Won’t it be great when he beats her anyway, eh?
Pictures of babies that victimized mothers chose to keep, aren't.
seriously?
abortifacients are not contraception. Not having the government pay for something is not banning it.
“She’s been running ads with his quotes on student loans and Medicare and Social Security and the like as well.”
Do you want our politicians to run as leftist’s so they can fool the people in their search of power?
That sounds much like another party’s tactics.
Okay, how about an ad with Tawana Brawley? Or with that Duke babe?
You said the same thing when Romney uttered “47%”, right?
or does this only apply to actual conservatives?
I would like them to get elected. And when they say stupid things then that makes it kind of hard.
He might be able to respond, if some of those holding the purse strings relent.
Or disappointing when he doesn't. Either way we'll know in 4 weeks.
The ads are exactly as predicted. She has the money and she will saturate the KC and StL media markets with them. I have seen them on the KC stations. They will have an effect which is why I have been predicting that Akin cannot win. I wish that it were not so, but it looks like McCaskill wins this race.
Latest Rasmussen (Oct 2) has her at 51% to 45%, these ads will likely grow that gap.
“his quotes on student loans and Medicare and Social Security and the like as well.”
What did he say wrong about these?
The proper response would be abortion survivors, and women who regret their abortions, crying about having killed their children.
But I really do think he'll win.
Claire voted to impose the OBAMACARE plan on us and now she voted to kill the coal industry and raise our utilities. Her ads are as phoney as she is.
WE NEED HERE OUT OF CONGRESS, PERIOD!!!
GO TODD, GO!!!
He should counter with pictures of American Taxpayers, who are being “raped” by Democrats for the past 60 years.
Actually, he should counter with an ad featuring Pastor James Robison, who was the product of a rape and extremely anti-abortion.
If you've pegged me as pro-Romney, you're wrong. I didn't decide to vote for him UNTIL he made the 47% statement and other statements regarding the middle-East during the same fundraiser.
There is a lot more truth in believing that conservatives will never win over that certain percentage of the population that happily subsists on government handouts (even though it's not the whole 47% of non-income tax payers) than it is to say that "legitimate" victims of rape don't get pregnant.
So let me get this right... You have ads where PRO-LIFE women are now going to vote for a RABID ANTI-LIFE DEMOCRAT! These pro-life women will support the party that believes in shoving scissors into the heads of babies in the womb! Barack Hussein Obama is the most vicious anti-life candidates that the USA has ever seen and Claire McCaskill is his #1 supporter!!

If they (GOP) had not condemned Akin, talked about him like he was $hit, refused to support him, refused a give him another dollar, he would have put that cow, McCaskill, back to the pasture. What did he have before this crap started....?....a 10 point lead over her?
GOD save the U.S. from the GOP, who have proved they will eat their own.
On the other hand, if Akin himself had not said something terribly stupid -- something so incredibly stupid as to blow that 10 pt lead -- he probably wouldn't have drawn any fire from the GOP now, would he?
If we lose the Senate seat in Missouri, there'll be plenty of blame to go around -- to both the GOP and to Akin himself.
Well he equated government guaranteed student loans with stage 3 cancer, he has said he doesn't like Social Security and doesn't support it, and seems to have questioned the constitutionality of Medicare. Now his reasoning may have been sound in the three cases: he appears to be mainly concerned with the long term government obligation on student loans, he's for personal savings accounts as a replacement for Social Security, and when he said that the federal government providing medical insurance was unconstitutional he likely meant Obamacare but his position can include Medicare and the VA hospital system as well. But the way he says it, like his quote on rape, generally come out wrong and can easily be misconstrued to mean something else. .
Most things Akin stands for are pretty much solid conservative values. But when he starts talking that link between his mouth and his brain disconnects and he gives McCaskill a whole new set of sound bites.
Are you listening to the snips and pieces that Claire selects to feature in her ads, or Todd Akin in full context when he was speaking about the issues?
I've listened to both and like I said it isn't hard to see what Akin meant. But the way it comes out makes it custom made for twisting. People remember the soundbites and not what is said before and after it. And Akin is a walking, talking fountain of soundbites.
I honestly don't know. It's less than 4 weeks away, Akin has no money, and McCaskill's got a ton of PAC support. She keeps throwing snippits of his own words in his face and I don't know how effective that is. This week's polls should prove interesting.
In the end, if Akin wins then I think it'll be for the same reason Romney wins - people vote against the opponent rather than for the candidate.
He'll win.
Holy crap! How low can you get!?
WOW...that's a lot of "STUPID"......(1) "terribly stupid" and (2) "incredibly stupid". I keep looking for you're 3rd "STUPID", but can't find it in your response....you know, the one where the GOP is stupid. Obviously, just a typo / error on your part.
It won’t swing the election to McCaskill, but it’ll sure bring out the FR bedwetters trying to hand it to her out of spite.
Didn't read the whole response, huh?
But the first, the initiating "STUPID" definitely falls in Akin's court. Had he not commmitted several varieties of "STUPID", there would have been no need for the GOP to do something equally "STUPID".
If Akin should lose -- and I would vote for him, were I a Missourian -- it is nobody's fault but his own.
any woman who says she was “raped” is by definition “raped”.
the real question is if they are actresses or Democratic operatives.
