Applying affirmative action means that the majority thinks the minority is incapable of excellence.
Racial quotas are by definition a form of institutionalized racial discrimination. It doesn’t matter who benefits, or who is on the losing end of said deal. Ain’t rocket science.

I think affirmative action policies do not violate white applicants’ rights or any other racial group’s rights. Racial groups do not have rights. Individual citizens have rights, and policies that attempt to give special treatment on a racial basis violate the rights of all individuals, including especially individuals of the supposedly favored group who are robbed of the opportunity to succeed or fail on their own individual merits.

Of course it violates the rights of white applicants, but if they do not have affirmative action they won’t get enough blacks.Whites do not mean anything, it’s easy to screw over them,. They won’t riot, they won’t burn grocery stores, they won’t even piss and moan about it, because then someone would accuse them of racism.
MLK dreamed of the day when blacks would not be judged by the color of their skin.
Well martin if we stop judging them by the color of their skin, many won’t have jobs and they won’t be in college, because affirmative is exactly judging a man by the color of his skin.

My daughter started UNLV at 13 so I’ve spent untold hours on campus. I refer to it as NWM- No White Males.
This is a no-brainer. ANY discrimination is wrong. Admissions should be race neutral and let the chips fall where they may!!!

I'm not a lawyer or constitutional scholar but the 14th Amendment looks like it proves your point.
Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
I, of course, am open to correction by those wiser and more educated than muyself.
