Yep.

One of my favorite quotes about the CIA made in reference to Fast and Furious by a former undercover DEA agent

“If I were a criminal profiler, it wouldn’t take much to identify a CIA pattern here [with Fast and Furious]: A wacko, barroom commando, illegal operation that makes no sense whatsoever, run outside the control of law enforcement.”

That’s why I say it is possible that CIA told State to stand down as it pertained to more personnel. They could have said that they would provide the security. I have no indication that is what happened. Just saying it is possible.

Here is what I think. There have probably been more instances of this kind of thing in our illustrious past. The thing is...other administrations were more adept at covering it up. Obama is a buffoon. However, Clinton with Slick Willie as her mentor, should have been on top of this.

It is the old bait and switch operation meant to deflect from the core issues and incompetence of Obama and the democrats...just like they did in the Plame set-up. Yesterday, the house republicans proved that the budget had nothing to do with lax security.....so now it is on the plan C or D.

Blaming video did not work

Blaming Stevens himself did not work
Blaming budget cuts did not work
Now they are going to deflect blame to republican’s having the nerve to hold a hearing.

Here is one other thing to consider:

The video that got the blame.

Let’s say some CIA plan went awry and now Obama needs a scapegoat. Hey, let’s blame a video on youtube.

EXCEPT - there are murky connections to that video - including one of the people being an informant.

So was the video part of this whole thing to start with - or just something that existed and they latched on to it.

I tend to believe it was part of a plan. Whose plan???? Remains to be seen.

Yes, it was referred to as a Safe House.

Now, no matter what BS requirements are of the State Department - no bullets, yada yada yada, CIA are going to have weapons with bullets.

CIA provided the destabilization (their forte) to overthrow the dictator.

Poor Stevens was probably killed by the same arms that he helped supply.

I doubt we ever know the real story on this one.

After the attack on the mission the facility was not secured for HOW MANY days, giving enemies time to access any remaining documents and files that were not destroyed during the assault.

That part makes no sense to me knowing that the CIA was in that annex.

Could it be that it was intentional - like the intentional planting of that diary to be found by CNN.

That comment was very telling. There is good reason to question how CNN got Stevens’ diary.

I asked the same question a while back. Was the video planned BEFORE the attack? They sure latched onto it a bit to quickly for my comfort zone. Sounds like one of the October surprises that went wrong, IMO.

My first question was: why was an Ambassador out and about
on 9/11 in a Muslim country in any year ?

Why was he out and about without security on 9/11 ?

Did he choose to go out and about on 9/11
on his own initiative or was he ordered to go ?

Later it was reported that he was known to be Gay
That raised more red flags !

When questioned Michael Hayden said his DEFAULT position
was that on 9/11 in Benghazi it was pre-planned Terrorism.

This may explain why the FBI took so long to get to Benghazi...CIA wanted to finish their own stuff there first (diary, cover stories, etc).

My gut tells me Petraeus is being set up (setup being the operative word) to take the fall. Peter King wondered why he seemed to promote the video excuse long almost as long as the WH.

In their questioning and in the public testimony they invited, the lawmakers managed to disclose, without ever mentioning Langley directly, that there was a seven-member “rapid response force” in the compound the State Department was calling an annex. One of the State Department security officials was forced to acknowledge that “not necessarily all of the security people” at the Benghazi compounds “fell under my direct operational control.”

Shall we assume the 'protesters of the film' all armed and lacking signs - were 'aware' the CIA exists - that the CIA gathers intelligence and that they're stationed in foreign countries? Often on 'American soil' so to speak? And that all the other countries in the world do the same? If our enemies know, it's OK for our citizens to know... time for everyone to get real.
