I asked the same question a while back. Was the video planned BEFORE the attack? They sure latched onto it a bit to quickly for my comfort zone. Sounds like one of the October surprises that went wrong, IMO.

My first question was: why was an Ambassador out and about
on 9/11 in a Muslim country in any year ?

Why was he out and about without security on 9/11 ?

Did he choose to go out and about on 9/11
on his own initiative or was he ordered to go ?

Later it was reported that he was known to be Gay
That raised more red flags !

When questioned Michael Hayden said his DEFAULT position
was that on 9/11 in Benghazi it was pre-planned Terrorism.

This may explain why the FBI took so long to get to Benghazi...CIA wanted to finish their own stuff there first (diary, cover stories, etc).

” This is about as intentionally convoluted psychobabble as I have ever read.”

I like this one....

PIERS MORGAN: The really important horse that should be flogged is the behavior and the statements of those who were in positions of responsibility and, we would assume, knowledge. And it’s pretty un-American, pretty un-American to be putting out completely false statements before you know the facts. Isn’t it?

DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ: Piers, it is not, it is not OK for you to be saying that the administration was putting out completely false statements. They put out information that they had at the time based on the intelligence they were given and then as the days wore on and more…

MORGAN: That turned out to be completely wrong.

WASSERMAN SCHULTZ: Well, that doesn’t mean it was false.

“Why, it is just another Obama cover story.”

Of course it is! That’s why I wanted everyone to read it. Pretzel logic at it’s most extreme!

My gut tells me Petraeus is being set up (setup being the operative word) to take the fall. Peter King wondered why he seemed to promote the video excuse long almost as long as the WH.
*****Not saying King is part of any set up, only that he wants to confirm or deny. ******

Let me get this straight - everyone in the ME knows out State Department is seeded with CIA agents - but the American people are to be kept in the dark? So it’s OK for the President to lie because Americans must not know what everyone in the world knows but us? Keystone cops. Are we this lame?

In their questioning and in the public testimony they invited, the lawmakers managed to disclose, without ever mentioning Langley directly, that there was a seven-member “rapid response force” in the compound the State Department was calling an annex. One of the State Department security officials was forced to acknowledge that “not necessarily all of the security people” at the Benghazi compounds “fell under my direct operational control.”

Shall we assume the 'protesters of the film' all armed and lacking signs - were 'aware' the CIA exists - that the CIA gathers intelligence and that they're stationed in foreign countries? Often on 'American soil' so to speak? And that all the other countries in the world do the same? If our enemies know, it's OK for our citizens to know... time for everyone to get real.

BTW, Where is Donilon?

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/24/us/politics/tom-donilon-a-manager-of-overseas-crises.html?pagewanted=all

Mr. Donilon is the one who wakes the president when an ambassador is killed in Libya, the one who tries to keep Israel from rupturing relations and Egypt from heading off track. Solutions to intractable problems like Iran’s nuclear program are for another day. For now, it is Mr. Donilon’s mission to manage problems and keep them from blowing up, so Mr. Obama can focus on Mitt Romney rather than Benjamin Netanyahu.

Petraeus would have known there was no protest.

I think Issa said he had a whistleblower -separate from the ones testifying - that had provided documents.

If not for the whistleblowers - they might have gotten away with the story.

So, since Petraeus was telling them it was a protest then they were safe to call it a protest.

EXCEPT - that Hillary has now come out and said she never thought it was a protest.
So something else must be out there.
