RNC: Biden interrupted Ryan 82 times
Washington Examiner ^ | October 11, 2012 | Joel Gehrke

Vice President Joe Biden interrupted Paul Ryan 82 times in a 90-minute debate with rival Paul Ryan, while CNN reported that women preferred Ryan.

“FACT: Final Count: Biden interrupted 82 times during the entire debate,” the RNC’s Joe Pounder tweeted after the debate. CNN’s Gloria Berger said that she would have liked Biden to show less “condescension” and “eye-rolling.”

Even MSNBC’s Chris Wallace — who thought that Biden won the debate — said that Biden “was openly contemptuous and disrespectful” of Ryan (h/t Lachlan Markay).

“Mr. Vice President, I know you’re under a lot of duress to make up lost ground, but I think people will be better served if we don’t keep interrupting each other,” Ryan said during the debate.

CNN’s Erin Burnett said that “Women tended to rate Paul Ryan more highly.”

For every question asked Biden got to answer 3 times: 1st during his turn, 2nd during Ryan's turn, 3rd the rebuttal

Joe was in full Alinsky “ridicule your opponent” mode all evening.

Everybody knew that Biteme would probably show up drunk. That joint should have hired a cop instead of a “moderator” for this so called “debate”.

Bipartisanship has been lacking during the Obama administration. I wonder why?

Now, for me personally, I would not be eager to "compromise" with Democrats who want to destroy our country -- but I know good politicians (like Paul Ryan) would like to find common ground with the folks across the aisle -- but people like Joe Biden are just not going to let that happen.

And Ryan allowed without a fight ... The Wrong Headed Advisers of Romney / Ryan keep on believing that nicey nicey will bring about election victory in November ... The RINOS who control the Advice Team for Romney / Ryan need to understand you cannot bring FACTS to a KNIFE FIGHT... !!!

Paul Ryan did great, although I thought he was far too deferential to crazy Biden. Martha Radditz outed herself as a partisan. She consistently interrupted Ryan but not Biden. Radditz consistently helped crazy Biden go after Ryan by asking him specific questions about detail over and over and yet she always allowed Biden to filibuster and never really demanded specifics of him.

Don’t see it that way. IMO once Joe got going on being such a jerk...Paul Ryan let him continue. Of the 90 minutes of the debate “big mouth Joe” was talking 82 of them.

You’re right. Ryan told Biden the public would be better served if they refrained from interrupted each other. That’s all he had to do. From then on out, the people watching would notice how many times Biden did it.

I thought it was quite skillful to allow Biden to think he was winning, as he continued to come off as a spoiled child at a public gathering. Folks may not say it out loud, but all they want to do is knock the snot out of the petulant child.

Biden gets an incomplete, and Ryan gets a B+.

Guess who’s family isn’t getting invited to the next public event. Biden, you just cost mom and dad a lot of personal contacts.

Thank you.

Most of the viewing audience in the USA will see it that Biden won... Backbone is necessary when in debates ...

The only time Biden didn’t interrupt Ryan was when the leftist moderator beat him to it.

As noted on another thread: Joe Biden was an ass-clown. He acted more like a giggling schoolgirl than someone who’s a single heartbeat away from the presidency.

...Not if half of the viewing audience was women. Two things we don't like: 1) Rude, overbearing bullies 2) _itches that side with #1.

Both were on the other side tonight.

I had the same take on it as you.

Do you or anyone remember both Raddax and Biden yelling at Ryan?

Ironically given the age difference, Ryan was the serious and sincere A student who did his homework and Biden was the class clown who blew it out his butt.

When your opponent self-destructs, the first rule is not to stop him. With the moderate libs (like Chris Wallace) coming down on Joe like a ton of bricks for his condescending and disrespectful attitude, this will not help Obama and may backfire bigtime with undecided voters.

Guys, think of it this way: How many debates with your wife to you win if you interrupt every sentence and smirk and make fun of her?

How much time was Biden allowed to speak vs Ryan. It seemed like Biden got way more time.

Biden was interrupting Ryan to get under his skin and make him rethink what he was going to say..that is what the a-hole was interrupting him so many times but it did NOT work..who here didnt want to go through the TV and smack Biden across the face..I bet that is what Ryan wanted to do but instead he remained calm..what Biden did tonight, along with that bitch of a so-called moderator(Who I must say was the WORST MODERATOR EVER..even Gwen Ifil did a better job!) was go on a 2 on 1 attack but it failed MISERABLY..Biden laughing at Iran, Libya, the middle class, the state of our economy..everything..whatever the hell Biden was trying to do it was a miserable failure

I’d like to see the statistics on the number of interruptions including Radass, time per person, number of times Ryan was cut off in mid point, etc.

Ryan did not lose... he mostly was not able to compete. When he did he did OK on most things and better than OK on others.

deomrats start right... noting but demagogues.
