CNBC ^ | 12 Oct 2012 | CNBC

Vice President Joe Biden and Republican Paul Ryan took center stage on Thursday night for their highly anticipated debate.

Biden was under pressure to help President Barack Obama's campaign recapture the momentum it enjoyed before Obama was outmaneuvered by Republican rival Mitt Romney last week in the first of their three debates.

And CNBC will make sure Biden stays ahead, no matter how many times they have to vote for that creep.

Bidean acted like an A$$

He did NOT sway any votes toward his side

The only thing he might have done is excite his loser base a little bit

It depends on how you view politics.

Last night’s debate was very much like a high school debate between the class clown and the valedictorian.

If you are a clown then you thought the clown won. If you are a serious student, then the valedictorian won.

Awful debate. Biden’s smirks, use of the word MALARKEY, and constant interruptions were just too much. The one thing I wished Ryan would have hit on HARDER and would have shut Biden up would have been to hit hard on Harry Reid! Biden’s entire line of attack was the Republican House Obstruction. If I were Ryan, I would have pointed out SENATE OBSTRUCTION and SENATE TABLING OF BILLS!

I am a winner because I did not put myself through the agony. My TV does not get but one channel anyway.

I think the Boy Wonder was definitely the winner.

I think all that laughing was done purposfully to throw Ryan off balance, but it didn’t. The kid stood his ground and made Biden look like a cranky old fart

Ryan - 47%
Biden - 49%

~165,500 votes.

Considering it is CNBC, I'll take that number.

Right.

Biden didn’t add anything substantive to the discourse.

He only succeeded in reinforcing everyone’s opinion that he’s criminally out-of-touch and merely the prerequesite ‘window dressing’ “O” felt he needed to come off as a credible minority candidate.

Biden possesses the attributes of a third-world leader — over the top demeanor, loose and silly talk, odd behavior not becoming of a leader on the world stage. It’s scary to me that he is an acceptable candidate for ANYTHING, let alone VPOTUS.

The MSM would crucify a Republican who acted as clownish as Biden. The fact that Biden “won” this debate in the eyes of the media purely by “exciting his base” with rude buffoonery only shows how damaging Obama’s epic debate fail was. Biden basically upstaged Obama and anything that raises Joe’s profile can only help us when he makes his next inevitable gaffe. Ryan acquitted himself well considering the only option to control the tempo would have been to match Joe’s antics. No need for that as the polls show.

“Biden didn’t add anything substantive to the discourse.”

Not only that, he lied about the Libya situation claiming there were no security requests, lied about the automobile bailout, (was Bush in 12/2008) and demeaned Justice Antonia Scalia. His only defense to the facts and plan outlined by Ryan was his idiot smirk and his claim of “Malarky” that came right out of the move, My Cousin Vinny: “everything that guy just said is bs!”

It’s disgusting that Obama/Biden even have a shot at another term.

“Last night’s debate was very much like a high school debate between the class clown and the valedictorian.

Most concise accurate description I’ve read yet of the debate.

Consider how low the bar has sunk for the Dems. Obama’s performance was so bad that literally (to use Joe’s favorite word) any sign of life from Joe was going to be praised. Ryan could have easily “excited” the GOP base with shout-show antics. I would have loved to see him interrupt Biden every 5 seconds. But at this point, we’re shooting for skittish undecided types, not cheering up the base because that task had already been accomplished.

It just showed me the results and wouldn’t let me vote, may be one of the polls I voted in last night.
