Murder is hard to sweep under the rug. President Obama may have invoked executive privilege to shield his Fast and Furious scandal from congressional investigators, but repeating this strategy won’t go down well during a presidential debate. The administration’s reckless scheme, which armed foreign drug lords, deserves a thorough airing before voters cast their ballots on Election Day.
Fast and Furious weapons were used to gun down 14 Mexican teenagers at a birthday party in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, in January 2010, Spanish-language Univision reported Oct. 1. The day after the report, U.S. Border Patrol Agent Nicholas J. Ivie was shot to death while patrolling the Arizona desert just north of the Mexican border. While early evidence suggests the killing may have been the result of friendly fire rather than smuggled guns, the tragedy is a fresh reminder of the death of Border Patrol Agent Brian A. Terry, who was gunned down by a Fast and Furious weapon.
Taken together, the killings of innocent Mexican children and a pair of federal agents are the bitter fruit of leadership that has played fast and loose with border security. When the presidential candidates face off over foreign policy at Florida’s Lynn University on Oct. 22, Mr. Obama must be asked to explain how his Democratic underlings could have strayed so far from common sense in allowing the border to become a conduit for dealers of death. Republican challenger Mitt Romney should be prepared to present a plan that would end such national security failures.
In Operation Fast and Furious, more than 2,000 weapons were purchased in the United States and smuggled into Mexico, where they were sold to drug kingpins.

It is easy to fight when the MSM has your back. It is not so easy when you see Republican career after Republican career destroyed by the MSM. The MSM is the culprit, not lack of Republican backbone.

I wish. Don't dream to far. Holder should have been impeached. A trial to remove him in the Senate should have been our current news.
Be that as it may, as a minimum, Romney could make the case that Obama tolerates gross incompetence in his Departments of State and Justice and State leading to the deaths of at least six Americans and hundreds of Mexicans. Will he? Let us pray. The incompetence and cover up of the Benghazi fiasco could be a foot in the door for bringing up Fast and Furious.
They can't impeach Holder.
If they did, then you might figure out what was really going on. Now they can play games and the little people wonder what in the world is going on.
Think back to history when an administration was pushed to the limit hiding a lie. The Attorney General told lie after lie to hide the truth. Other pawns were thrown up and sacrificed to protect the king. With relentless attacks, the shields finally fell down and the truth surfaced in Watergate. In this case, though, there are no reporters who will ever chase nor report the truth.
The Republicans cannot expose the truth, it is something they want to quietly go away. With the election coming up, Americans can remove the cancer and nobody has to know the details.
Who was behind FAST AND FURIOUS? Attorney Generals don't orders stuff like this. Obama wanted to show American guns were behind Mexico's violence. Obama's ammunition would have been statistics and he was going to use numbers to gut the American gun industry. And then he was going to gut the 2nd Amendment. Even though things went very wrong, Americans don't know what happened and the REPUBS think it's better that way. And they have nothing to worry about because you and most Americans don't have a remote clue what is really happening in Washington.
