Vice President Joe Biden's repeated laughter during Thursday's debate was a reflection of the "enormous amount of passion and joy" he brings to the job of serving the American people, White House press secretary Jay Carney said on Friday.

Biden has drawn criticism for cracking up when Paul Ryan was talking about everything from Medicare to tax cuts to Iran's quest for a nuclear weapon.

"The person I saw up there last night is somebody who is absolutely passionate about fighting for and defending the middle class... and who comes to his job -- this many years in to serving his country in the Senate and now to the White House -- with an enormous amount of passion and joy," Carney said.

thanks for the feedback gents...it appears that the VP debate was as to be expected, bloviating biteden vs the *jr* house member...

slo joe is nothing if not a professional BSer...his regular role on the sunday shows always highlighted his ability to spew with a straight, and oftentimes maniacal face...

and ryan has been elevated to up and coming messiah, so his task was to live up to those expectations, which is always impossible if you allow a blowhard to talk over you...

im so glad i didnt pin my hopes on the election this yr...

I think he swallowed some of the bleach they used on his teeth! Any whiter and we would have all been blinded, which ironically may have been the point. “Nothing to see here....”

Vice President Joe Biden’s disturbing behavior during the Veep debate proved one thing: Team Obama has given up trying to win over independent voters and is betting it all on their base. Mr. Biden’s laughter, dismissive comments and smirks whenever Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin) spoke was obviously an effort to placate those who react the same way when someone dares to point out President Obama’s failures and offers alternatives.

The response of the left to Biden’s rude behavior on the nationally televised debate is/was predictable. They loved it and insanely believe the rest of us love their insanity, arrogance, and rude behavior.

With over 70 years of life and at least 60 of those years watching liberals lie and feel superior. Decades ago, I came to the conclusion, that they are all mentally unstable and there is no cure for them.

They all suffer from Illusory Superiority Responses. Often this cognitive bias increases with years of faux education and their illusory social status in their increasing unstable/immature minds.

Illusory Superiority Response is a cognitive bias that causes people to overestimate their positive qualities and abilities and to underestimate their negative qualities, relative to others. This makes them under estimate real winners like Ronald Reagan.

So they label anyone, who dares to challenge their insane/rude Illusory Superiority Responses, as red necked, stupid, knuckle draggers rather than listen to what we have learned over the years, decades and centuries from history.

With the instant reality, we now have with the internet, Fox and social nets, the left wing mediots are losing their ability to lie, cover, and omit their beloved Obama’s/Biden’s mentally unstable responses.

The rabid/mentally unstable hard core liberals love the Illusory Superiority responses of Obama/Biden/Pelosi/Reed and others.

However, the instant and nationwide exposed insanity of their Illusory Superiority responses is killing them with the independent voters.

Two interesting examples of Illusory Superiority Responses:

1. The *elite intellectuals* are really pretty simple minded and are easily convinced that all this progressive crap is really going to lead to utopia...

2. About the same as the camel humpers and their moon-god...

It is hard to tell which group is more dangerous to America and Americans.

His impropriety was so pronounced it bordered on Giles de la Tourette Syndrome. It was response inappropriate for the discussion. It did not fit the circumstance.

He was either coached to behave this way or this is his real behavior. Either of those two disqualify him for VP/President.

Don’t voters have a right to know whether Biden is ill or merely unlikeable, impulsive and prone to deceitfulness?

RE “They’re cheering, but when you see it you’ll think that was quite artificial. Things didn’t go as they planned either. Biden was an ass, and they’re trying very hard to save face, spin it as a victory. It really wasn’t.”

The VPs job is not to be liked. It was to hurt the P candidate. That is what Biden went out to do. OK, Biden wont do well as a P candidate, but he is not running.
Ryan looked like he was trying to be liked.

Just watching Biden’s crazy facial expressions it seems that clips from that debate of Biden would make a good commercial for Romney to use, certainly funny.

RE :”im so glad i didnt pin my hopes on the election this yr...”

Romney needs two more clear wins like he did in the first debate.

CSPAN was replaying the first O-McCain debate today. Talk about depressing. He was the worse R candidate of all time. And the R cult actually convinced themselves that he would win after that.

I believe that thinking along the lines of what you posted, did back the idea it would be good for Biden to do what he did. Nothing is worse than having your arse handed to you on the stage, so I’m sure it made sense to them.

Problem is, Biden turned a lot of people off by doing that. Obama isn’t gaining friends either.

In a sense, Biden transmitted the mindset that they can’t stand toe to toe and win. That’s an admission that they are losing, and they know it.

So not only does the guy concede the debate, he makes it clear they’ve essentially given up winning on the issues.

Toast.

O-B are the incumbents. It is their job to convince the voters that they cant trust Romney as POTUS and to get their base excited to vote. How many times have you seen freepers post that they just want a candidate to take the gloves off and attack Obama's character?

Obama played the passive role, Biden played the attack dog. I cant imagine a single voter deciding to vote for Romney because of Biden’s antics. In fact I don't expect this debate to change anything. O-R is the main event.

Nobody’s asking you to imagine anything. I’ve been going to some fairly middle-road to leftist sites, and the comments aren’t exactly backing the leftist party line.

Folks didn’t find Biden funny, and I’m seeing evidence that it offended some folks so much they’re moving to Romney.

I’ve even seen a number of Leftist players saying Biden screwed the pooch. They’re right.
