CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama warned his supporters about the threat of global warming and vowed that more money to subsidize green energy firms would prevent it.
“By the way, yes, my plan will reduce the carbon pollution that is eating our planet because climate change is not a hoax,” Obama said at a campaign rally at the Bank United Arena at the University of Miami. “More droughts and hurricanes and wildfires, that’s not a joke. That’s a threat to our children’s future, and we can do something about it.”
Obama said that he planned to spend more money to subsidize green projects such as wind and solar if elected to a second term. Obama’s Republican opponent Mitt Romney has criticized him for spending $90 billion on green energy companies, many of which went into bankruptcy.
This week, the House Energy and Commerce Committee announced it is seeking information from the Department of Energy about a $400 million loan to Abound Solar, which recently filed for bankruptcy. Abound was the fifth stimulus-funded green energy firm and the third to file for bankruptcy after Solyndra and Beacon Power.
Obama vowed to pay for the subsidies by taking away tax breaks to oil companies.
“So, now you’ve got a choice. My plan would cut our oil imports in half and invest in the clean energy that has created thousands of jobs all across America,” the president said at the Florida rally.
“Not just oil and natural gas, but wind and solar and clean coal technologies and fuel efficient cars and long lasting batteries. If you want to know how we’re paying for it, one of the things we do not allow oil companies to collect another $4 billion in taxpayer-funded corporate welfare every single year,” Obama added.
Obama said the United States should not fall behind the rest of the world in the green energy markets.
“I will not let China or anybody else win the race for clean energy technology,” Obama said. “I want to see that technology develop right here in Florida, right here in the United States of America, creating jobs right here.
“By the way, yes, my plan will reduce the carbon pollution that is eating our planet because climate change is not a hoax. More droughts and hurricanes and wildfires, that’s not a joke. That’s a threat to our children’s future, and we can do something about it.”

Obama just wants to ship our jobs to the Chinese, and this is cover for it.
Methane is a more potent greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide, so sequestering Moochelle’s butt is a national imperative.
So this means our prices at the gas pump will increase even more! What a joke!
It feeds the tax coffers of Illinois and California the most, as they tax the most in the country in cents per PRICE, rather than per volume.

Before the 2008 election Obama and company set up the “Chicago Carbon Exchange”. It was to buy and sell carbon credits to companies and redistribute wealth (through the U.N.). First the Climate hoax had to work. It didn’t. I thought he had buried this monster but I think he has resurrected it to “scare” us into voting for him. It’s all he’s got and it’s still a scam.
Obama doesn’t buy into any of it. He knows it’s all a lie and a scam, but his adoring masses eat it up, while he cuts lucrative favors for his buds in the “green energy” business. Money laundering in the light of day and right under our noses. He mocks us, as Kahn would say.

The real and continuing threat to the children in America is Obama and the Democrat’s WAR ON BABIES. He wants people to worry about his fears as babies are being slaughtered.
For all we know the earth is the Titanic, climate warming is the iceberg and zero is Captain Smith.
He yells hard right rudder dooming all of us OR orders stay the course and we are damaged but live. Which it is it? No one alive knows or ever will. It will take a few thousand years to write the story.

I have a funny story to tell you along these lines… A year ago I did a talk in China at an ‘energy forum’ and at the end of it was invited to be part of a panel discussion. There were about 300 or so people in attendance. The two speakers ahead of the panel were ‘climate change advocates and policy wonks’ from Beijing who worked both for the government (in their equivalent of the Dept of Energy) and a university (in some environmental studies programs). Anyway, there was a fair number of high level energy folks from Beijing at this affair (including one who I would call the Big Boss) and the two previous speakers did their best to follow the line that “climate change is real, it’s happening and we should be doing something about it and in fact, here is what we are doing right now to reduce our CO2 emissions but we should be doing much more”. In the panel discussion afterward, I essentially trashed all climate change propaganda and told them that there was a good reason to reduce energy use because that had impact on their product competitiveness, there was good reason to clean up the air because we all have to breathe…. but as far as climate change, that was a complete hoax. A few hours later, I happened to be in an elevator and who should step in but the big boss himself with his entourage…. He recognized me and through a translator, he said to me “Came all the way from Beijing… heard nothing but nonsense except panel discussion which had the only common sense heard all day”.
More likely an excuse to fast-track more federal money to his bundlers before they take the piggybank away.

Every thing that lives on this planet is chemically composed of and consumes carbon to continue living. And, aside from dirt, since we and our furry, feathered, finned, mould, and leafy co-residents qualify to be called “the Planet” the whole thing seems to be quite the symbiotic arrangement. I guess we don’t really need to get a look at any of his transcripts to know the subjects of biology and chemistry aren’t there.
How stupid do they think we are? Never mind. Almost half the population of Nuevo Amerika are blithering idiots.

Some years ago Rush Limbaugh devoted his radioo program to global warming. He explain at great lengths the components of “greenhouse gases.” As I recall, water vapor, methane gas and carbon dioxide are the greatest components for “greenhouse gases.”
Not sure what you can do about water vapor but the two greatest sources of methane gas are cows and men over 40, and carbon dioxide is a component of respiration.
So what do we do? Slaughter all cattle and men over 40 and stop breeding?
I’m old enough to remember the false alarm about Ozone and the child’s story about “Chicken Little.”
I would no more trust Obama and the progressives in Congress to identify and correct a genuine crisis, anymore than I would rely on my four-year-old granddaughter to do the same.

This lunacy is so absurd it is difficult to take it seriously. Carbon life is eating our planet, yummy, yummy, yummy, got our kids in the tummy, and Obama is a veggie headed dummy.
I thought carbon was inert and harmless.
Oxygen, on the other hand, tears things apart all over the place. We should ban oxygen.
But then this isn't really about the planet, this is about the Government taking totalitarian
control of the masses. Soon they will try to cordon off 90% of the country to implement this control.
