WASHINGTON - The United States must look past the violence and extremism that has erupted after the "Arab Spring" revolutions and boost support for the region's young democracies to forge long-term security, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Friday.
Clinton, seeking to reinforce the Obama administration's Middle East policy following a wave of anti-American violence and last month's deadly attack on the US mission in Benghazi, Libya, said Washington cannot be deterred by "the violent acts of a small number of extremists."

So this woman, Hillary, who grew up in the suburbs and whose ‘qualifications’ for having a position that allows her to affect the lives of too many include that she went to a ‘good’ university, has a law degree, and married someone with the same credentials (but with more charisma), is lecturing the rest of us about why we need to look the other way when people who openly state that they hate us are taking over control of the Middle East - vowing to destroy the democracy of Israel. OK. Great.

Despite prognostications to the contrary, I think thunderthighs is toast. She’s doubling down on what will be regarded in hindsight as a monumental policy disaster.
If the hildebeast had any further political aspirations this idioticism just nailed that coffin shut.
When the USA was created, we had a constitutional republic. The original design being a fairly weak central government (though this changed very early on, with the Whiskey Rebellion) with strict rules of what the federal government was allowed to do (what Obama calls "negative rights,) that was in effect, a confederation of independent states. The only "democratic" portion of the government was supposed to be 1/3 of the government! The senate was to be appointed by the states. The president was to be elected by electors, as selected by the states (and the states had complete autonomy over how those electors were to be selected). Only the house of representatives were to be directly elected by "the people," the idea being that the states would only elect the "best and the brightest" to represent them, limiting "the whims of the masses" to only 1/3 of the government.
On the other hand, when you have a democracy, "the whim of the masses" will put anyone in charge, usually a tyrannical, authoritarian government, which has happened over and over again wherever "democracy" was attempted.
And we're seeing just that in the middle east.

Hunt said that from the moment the call went in to Lamb, all of those command centers were instantaneously notified.
Hunt said that as soon as he heard Lamb’s testimony he was stunned. Said this is the elephant in the room the media refuses to report. He said none of what I am saying is my opinion. It is fact and standard operating procedure, but the WH refused to act or issue an order to help save our people there. They watched and listened for 6 hours and did NOTHING.

Immediately communicated when embassy under attack, satellites & drones looking at this while it happened & the ambassador & 3 others were killed. Hundreds knew this was going on, watched/listened for 6 hours while the consulate was under attack & decision-makers were being constantly updated and DID NOTHING.... then lied about it for 8 days. Biden KNEW this was not an intelligence failure and lied during the debate about it.
This interview is devastating.
So, taking this “policy” to a personal level...if a moozlum moron chops off the heads of my family or blows them into bloody bits of protoplasm, I should just ignore it, hoping that they will be my friend.

I keep thinking of that tragic mother of one of the slain who has gone public saying Hillary, Biden, the President, Rice, and Panetta all had individual, personal conversations with her to reassure her they will get to the bottom of this. Panetta even clasped his two hands around her face, so heartfelt was he.
I am more disgusted than I have words to describe. Hunt said the same thing happened in Mogadishu, and we all remember how horrifying that scene was, but in this case there was NO protest, NO mob-— just a surgical jihad operation viewed instantaneously in real time by governmental operations centers all over the world, including CIA, Dept of State and WH situation room, for over 6 hours.
Hunt said any military order would have had to originate from the WH, and there was none.

The Arab Spring did not bequeath democracies but simply ushered in a new era of Islamic tyrannies. These are the regimes she and Mitt Happens both support.
The “other side” in the Middle East will never share our values and they will never be our friends. Clinton hasn’t understood the true, trite and obvious fact of life that revolution is usually never the father of democracy.
I think the lessons of the French, Russian, Chinese and Cuban revolutions have been lost upon her. Those are exactly the kind of despotic regimes in the making that America has no business supporting in the first place! Period.
