At the time the White House called the attack a spontaneous event; in response to a film that portrayed Muslim in an unflattering light.
Republicans charge the White House deliberately misled the people, knowing it was an act of terror. They say the decision was political, that Obama didn't want to disclose that al-Qadea had made a comeback in Libya.
In response to these charges, the White House has denied any intentional cover-up and counters that it has been completely transparent – providing its best intelligence on the attack, and then refining it as more information came to light.
The FBI is still investigating the attack. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also has named a State Department review panel to look into the security arrangements in Libya.

Clinton IS FAR more important than anyone else in the Demodog party. Exhibit #1: the DNC convention. Obama is trash compared to him (and her to some lesser degree) and will be tossed by Hollywood and reporters when he is out of office, unlike the Clintons, though he will hold sat least some sway with blacks.

The Clinton’s despise Bam and VV. Read Edward Klein’s “The Amateur” or Halperin’s “Game Change”.
But because they are liberal Demorats, they put aside personal feelings for the pursuit of and exchange of power, driven by uncontrolled greed. It’ll be interesting to see what if anything happens publicly with their tenuous relationship.
Look at how classy and private Bush is, how he refuses to diss Hussein or draw attention to himself.
Compare with Her Thighness and Der Sleek who just can’t stay out of the spotlight.
They are in this for their own legacies and don’t care about anyone but themselves.
