Lima, Peru (CNN) -- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the buck stops with her when it comes to who is to blame for security ahead of a deadly assault on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya.
"I take responsibility" for what happened on September 11, Clinton said in an interview with CNN's Elise Labott soon after arriving in Lima, Peru, for a visit. The interview, one of a series given to U.S. television networks Monday night, was the first she has given about the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
Clinton insisted President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are not involved in security decisions.
"I want to avoid some kind of political gotcha," she added, noting that it is close to the election.
The attack killed Chris Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya, and three other Americans at the consulate

No matter, both feel they are getting somthing out of it because that is who they are.
This tells me that Obama’s falling poll numbers are legit. They are in a panic.
So what are the odds that Obama will now say something like “Mistakes were made both in intelligence and at the State dept. we are investigating and will correct those mistakes.” Weasel.
Where is the resignation? Hillary pulled on her big girl pants laudibly but this is resignation grade disaster.
...poor Mrs Clinton will have no choice but to spill the beans on Obama NOT to stay out of jail for perjury but as a patriot doing her American duty...
...and since, like her husband, she is a ruthless and expert liar her apparently selfless and courageous testimony will guarantee her opposing President Romney on the Dem ticket in 2016...

The Clinton’s don’t fart with calculating the politics. And there is NO WAY she falls on her sword for the Hussein regime, NONE. Let the leaks begin!

I think you’re spot on. It may be her best political option out of a lot of bad options from her point of view. 4 years is a long time and she can spin it as her being a leader - “because that’s what leaders do”. Obama still has to explain the cover-up.

If she doesn’t resign and the Zero doesn’t fire her then Obama can be shown to be the aloof devil may care clown for leaving this jerk the cabinet.
This wasn’t very well thought out by the Zero unless this is a Hillary setup. If Hilderbeast is setting him up she won’t resign but stay on the cabinet, then she can say I just said that and offer her retaining her job as proof.
The Clinton’s have lots of material on many people but I suspect that others have material on them that they don’t want out. JMO.....

Funny how this comes out one day prior to the debate. Isn't that a coincidence! Maybe this is why 0bama doesn't attend his security briefings; If something goes wrong he can plead ignorance. There's a lot he 'doesn't know about'.. Like Fast & Furious... Does 0bama know ANYTHING????
