"I take responsibility" for what happened on September 11, Clinton said in an interview with CNN's Elise Labott soon after arriving in Lima, Peru for a visit. The interview, one of a series given to U.S. television networks Monday night, were the first she has given about the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
Clinton insisted President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are not involved in security decisions, Clinton said.
"I want to avoid some kind of political gotcha," she added, noting that it is close to the election.

Obama believed he had to clear the air after Biden's lies about who knew what when. Trouble is, he will now have made Clinton look like a scapegoat and a victim of Obama's disdain for women. This is shabby treatment of Clinton, and all women will see it instantly for what it is. As more truth comes out he just won't be able to dodge this bullet.

My sentiments exactly. That being said, her comment was basically ‘as Secretary of State I am responsible for all the employees in the State Dept. The security concerns are overseen by security experts'. So, she SAID she will take responsibility, but just like her husband, implicated others were really responsible. How Obamaian and Clintonian at the same time!
