It's looking good and I was hoping to start seeing some sincere suggestions for a Romney term. Also hoping someone from his campaign will follow this, so please post here any suggestions for a Romney administration, from policies to appointments. Thanks.

Well here is a suggestion for Mr. Romney for tonight’s debate:

“Mr. President, regarding the terrorist attack that left four Americans dead in Libya. We now know that your Administration, despite warnings and pleas for help, significantly reduced security around the Libyan consulate.

And you are now claiming that, desipte sworn testimony to the contrary, your administration didn’t know they wanted more security?

And your Administration went to great lengths to cover up your incompetence, spreading a made-up story about about protests and a video.

So please tell the American people, Mr. President, what can the people take away from this episode that will make them feel good about electing you to a second term?”

excellent list, and I might restate it as:
“rebuild” the military and cancel homosexuality in the military
- strengthen DOMA
- choose wisely on your Cabinet: suggest Rubio, West, Cain, Palin, Pawlenty, Artur Smith, Mia Love.
- Choose wisely on your Ambassadors!
- Go conservative on any Supreme Court justices!
- Boot out the UN from American soil—and don’t adhere to their one world agenda and other BS they are trying to push on us.
- Definitely repeal Obamacare, reform medicare/medicaid, reform Soc Sec
- Repeal on day 1 all previous executive orders and only put in place the bare minimum within appropriate branch power and NOT as a dictator/tyrant
- Boot out the czars! NO MORE CZARS! We are not Russia, darnit!!!!
- legalize marijuana and TAX it! Consider doing what Portugal did and legalize all of that cr@p, and if the idiots wanna ruin their bodies, then make it legal, tax it, and stop running government programs to reform ‘em. I think the percent of population that wants to be stoned will always find a way. BUT, if they are on the public dole (welfare)then fer sure institute random drug/urine testing and immediately cease benefits if they test positive.
- Bring home our military and let Japan, Korea and Europe fend for themselves. I am tired of their generational b!tch!n about “the evil Americans” while they gladly consume our dollars and put our military in front of the battle.
- Regain our position/command of space! Restart the space shuttle program, invest in space weapons, and aim for the Moon again.
- Quit relying on foreign countries for oil/gas! We have our own resources so let’s use ‘em. Tell those other countries to go pound sand, and withdraw their offshore permits around our country.
- Support ISRAEL!!!!
- Rebuild relations with our allies, and let the world know where we really stand. Don’t be afraid to take a stand. We’re not wambly, for heaven’s sake!

ok, enough for now...:) I hope Romney/Ryan’s people are surfing the web like nanobots and capturing all of our ideas!

I’ll be watching the debate tonite and praying as always very hard for Romney/Ryan and this country.

God Bless the USA!~

Excellent! Remind him that 2006... before the rats took the House and Senate... that the US Government collected the most revenue in its History... in 2007 but for the year 2006 (Bush Tax Cuts working)... then the rats took over 100% and look what happened.

yeah, but they always find a way to sneak off the reservation. And we don’t wanna be like the nazis who instituted forced sterilization.

I used to be totally against all drugs, but I think that our country is losing the battle on marijuana, and we can focus on other problems. We should look at countries like Portugal and Denmark and see how we can better use our resources.

Complicated issue that has probably impacted all of us in one way or another. Look how prohibition brought in more crime than was imagined. We have our modern day Al Capones as the drug lords who run the cartels. So if we take away their reason for power, then we get a good start on taking them down.

legalizing it is stupid

we also lost the war on rape and murder, should we legalize those too?

I know potheads and legalization is the worst idea ever.

Democrats continue to abuse the language. They confuse accountability with responsibility.
Romney might want to point out that the President is accountable, in the final analysis, and his Sec of State cannot relieve him of that burden.
Unless of course Obama is just window dressing, and the mantle is really on Clinton’s shoulders.

no, of course we should not legalize rape and murder. (altho’ our nation does allow the killing of our most innocent citizens—and I think that is our nation’s greatest sin)

I have known some potheads in my distant past, and I have known some alcoholics too. Along with some chronic gamblers, and chronic cheaters...

If we legalize and regulate it and tax it, then at least some money is recovered from these people who now use/buy/sell/deal illegally and all that profit goes to the source of the drug, who uses it to fund other illegal activities.

It’s just like legalizing gambling: manage the activity so that at least some money comes back to the government. Look at those states that have lotteries and use that money for funding education. At least something is gained, even if at the expense of the individual who made the poor choice to gamble in the first place. The good preacher on the outside of the door can continue to warn them about the dangers to their souls; the government can continue to take their money if they choose to go down the road to perdition. I know that if it’s outlawed in one place they they’ll seek it where either it isn’t outlawed or go illegal to get it. That’s just the way people with addictions of any kind are...

As far as the debate, Heritage Foundation this morning gave 5 issues that haven’t come up in the debates:

1. Welfare reform

Since the 1960s, government has spent nearly $20 trillion on the War on Poverty. The federal government now runs about 80 programs providing aid to the poor. Government at all levels spends nearly $1 trillion annually to fight poverty. The Obama Administration unilaterally issued a policy gutting the work requirement from the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program.

Question: Should all able-bodied recipients be required to work or prepare for work as a condition of receiving aid in federal public housing, food stamps, and cash assistance programs?

2. Trade

The United States ranks 10th in the Heritage Foundation/Wall Street Journal Index of Economic Freedom. Trade barriers, from tariffs to a lack of free trade agreements with other countries, hinder America’s prosperity. Brand new research from Heritage shatters trade misconceptions, showing that imports—from China—actually create jobs here in the United States.

Question: The United States’ ranking in various international measures of economic freedom and competitiveness has dropped dramatically over the last 4 years. What policies would you propose to help Americans regain the economic freedom they have lost?

3. Medicaid

There has been lots of discussion about Medicare, but what about Medicaid, which delivers health care primarily to the poor? Half the gain in coverage under Obamacare was projected by adding millions more to Medicaid. On average, Medicaid physicians are paid only about 58 percent of what private insurance pays. According to a recent study, in 2011, one out of three Medicaid doctors would not accept new Medicaid patients—with a direct correlation to physician reimbursement rates. While the health care law does temporarily raise the payment rate for Medicaid primary care doctors, after 2014, these same doctors will face a 19 percent pay cut.

Question: What will you do to ensure that Medicaid beneficiaries get better access to health care?

4. Federal Spending and Debt

In 2012, the federal government spent $29,691 per household, $9,398 of which was deficit spending. Meanwhile, the national debt per taxpayer climbed to more than $111,000, which is more than twice what the average American can expect to earn in 2012.

Question: How would you cut spending and reduce the debt burden for Americans?

5. American-Produced Energy

Hydraulic fracturing—called fracking—has helped tap vast supplies of oil and natural gas in the United States. The boom in natural gas from the use of hydraulic fracturing has attracted the attention of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of the Interior—even as states have been effective at regulating fracking. Unnecessary layers of federal red tape would slow energy production and much-needed economic growth in the United States.

Question: How do you see the role of states in regulating energy production?

I wonder if any of this issues will come up tonight.

No problem. I like your thread better. This is too important a topic to allow it to get buried in old posts. Thank you for opening a new thread.

I was not meaning to be critical in any way, just providing more information to interested parties.

As my 94 year old mother used to say when I was young...

Hoping is like wishing, if you put a hope or wish in one hand and crap in the other. Then slap the two together and see what you have all over your hands.

O’Bummer’s “Forward” is just a head in the sand approach for more “Hope & Change.” Although the Jews in Hitler’s concentration camps may have had “hope for change,” (as described in Victor Frankl’s book on Logotherapy: “Man’s Search for Meaning) it took strategic action to set them free and save their lives.

This is not about hope, but strategic action! Something that O’Bummer does not understand as a continuing anti-establishment candidate.

No insinuation intended about your screen name as you are taking strategic action by opening this thread. Blessings.

1. It's not just that Obama didn't cut the deficit in half, as he promised. It's that he made that promise and didn't even try

2. Don't use the word, “capitalism.” Speak of freedom, and the natural response of people in a free system where property rights are respected, and how that built the US from a small agrarian nation to the largest economic and military power the earth has ever seen...and that all happened in just over a century

3. America has more liberal influence on our government today than at any previous point in US history. The more liberal our nation has become the more our economy has failed, our families have failed, our schools have failed.

4. Speak in a way that puts concepts into real-world images for people. For example, consider the US debt like sitting at the table with your family and having your wife announce that you have more than a full year's income charged on your credit cards...how long do you think you and your family would survive that before you went bankrupt? That is the situation teh US finds itself in now.

5. Autism/Down Syndrome: Democrats are using that in “projection.” The fact is that they're extremely vulnerable on the issue of autism with respect to the care TRICARE allows the children of military retirees. In the Federal court case, “Berge vs TRICARE” (and the Administration), a Florida family sued the military health care system because they provide funding for autism therapy for the children of active duty military members, but the DO NOT provide that coverage for children of military retirees. There are, quite literally, men and women in the US military who are sent off to war, leaving a child with autism at home, who get wounded in combat and are forced to medically retire, and their child is stripped of their TRICARE coverage for autism therapy the day they're forced to retire. In July 2012 a Federal judge ordered TRICARE to begin providing the same autism therapy coverage for the children of retired military that they provide children of active duty military, and Obama’s Dept of Defense invented such restrictive policies for the approval of therapy coverage for those children that the court order has been rendered worthless...totally unusual to the vast majority of military retired families who have a child with autism. This is the Obama Administration doing this! These are the bastards who accuse YOU of not caring about children with autism. But the facts tell a very different story.
