Like the CBS poll, Obama won the overall debate, 46-39%, but Romney beat him senseless on all the important individual issues like the economy, health care, deficit, and taxes.
Unlike the CBS poll, CNN polled registered voters, not just undecideds.
Economy: Romney wins 58-40%
Health care: Romney wins 49-46%.
Taxes: Romney wins 51-44%.
Deficit: Romney wins 49-36%.
Strong leader: Romney wins 49-46%.
The worst news is that 25% of voters switched their vote to Romney and 25% wen to Obama.
In other words, Obama didn't move the ball, which is what he needed to do.

So Romney wins in every major category, but supposedly loses the debate? WTF CNN?
Cue in the WTF cat.
Everyone felt bad that Barry got is *** handed to him last time.
i don't get it... it makes no sense... does CNN share the overall percentages?
never mind... i see the overall percentages...
John King on CNN blurted out that if these poll results are accurate, Romney will be elected.
What have people here said about the Luntz focus group? He got as big a swing as the first debate!
KosKidz will be glad their man showed some feistiness, while our side cheers Romney won the issues more Americans are concerned about.
Win-win?
I just waited outside, patiently. I knew I couldnt get into FR with a crowbar tonight so I sat back waiting to post.
Were all the question categories listed? At another site there were different results. Didn’t take note unfortunately.
Yeah, this crap is just getting really old. We have these FReepathons, yet the site still runs like sh*t. This is the third debate thread that was absolutely useless.
To make matters worse, Other FReepers are actually defending this substandard site performance. WTF? If they're going to ask for money, you'd think they could at least have the site running decently. These are legitimate complaints.
I have been coming here a long time, including the last three Presidential elections, and I don’t remember this ever happening. I’m wondering if the site is even going to be working on election day. It doesn’t seem to be able to handle high traffic loads anymore.
I remember this happening before and telling myself then I’d just have to come back later.
Either two or four years ago that is.
Exactly.
I'm just wondering if any of the donations go to upgrading the equipment? The fact that this site has gone down (or close to it) the past three debates tells me there's a problem. Almost comical that we're having to discuss the debate after the fact.
Admittedly, my memory is not exactly stellar, haha. I remember an occasional hiccup, but nothing chronic, like during every debate of the season.
My liberal brother is visiting, you can bet that politics did NOT come up, I had the TV on DIY and hid the remote so I didn’t even have a chance to look until he went to bed.
He was visiting in March and started on his political crap and I let him have it with both barrels. I called him a blood-sucking parasite who had a cushy government job. I told him NEVER to come into my house spouting his crap again. It shut him up. If he had talked to me like that in his house I would have been out of there but he’s a wuss.
