Candy Crowley Defends Her Libya Comment During Presidential Debate (on The View)
ABC News ^ | October 17, 2012 | RUSSELL GOLDMAN

Debate moderator Candy Crowley defended her decision to interject in a heated moment about Libya during last night's presidential debate, saying she was not trying to "fact check," but just trying to move the debate along.

"It didn't come to me as I'm going to fact check that. It came to me as let's get passed this? To me I was really trying to move the conversation along? This is a semantic thing," Crowley told the hosts of "The View."

It is obvious that she is dangerously oblivious to her ignorance.

Why Crowley is allowed to call herself a “journalist” is beyond me! She is nothing more than a liberal agenda with a big mouth. She jumped into the Libya discussion last night while tens of millions of people watched and disseminated incorrect information in defense of Obamao - that is inexcusable. When she did so, the wookie was in the audience and initiated a round of applause which violated the rules for those in the audience. Both of these fat A$$ heifers knew what they were doing and I find it to be disgusting.

So now Candy is on The View, continuing to make the presidential debate all about her. Is a book deal far behind? “No Fly on the Wall: The Candy Crowley Story”

Darn right she wanted to move on, because she knew that Obama was in trouble if the issue continued to be discussed.

The entire Benghazi debacle was a carefully orchestrated set-up between Crowley and the Obama campaign. You’ll notice that like a good straight man, Obama sets Crowley up and cues her when it’s time. Then when she is finished, he throws in the clincher.

It was a set-up — and a very transparent one at that. And it was intended not just to throttle Mitt, but to take the entire Benghazi issue off of the table.

I don’t think it was ignorance. Crowley planned to take the issue of Libya away from Romney in cohoots with the Obama team. It was preplanned. That’s why when Obama prompted her “say it louder Candy” she had her sheet in front of her immediately ready to back him up and silence Romney.

She was willing to take one for the team there, get the “big win” for her side and spin it later as merely trying to move the debate along.

These folks are not clueless they are calculating.

Here’s the bottom line, the only line. Does Obama look presidential or not? He clearly doesn’t. He may have used the “word” terror but clearly for days following and especially at the UN he said the video was the cause of the spontaneous uprising.

He and Hillary got busted. No president in my lifetime, even Clinton, lies like this presidnet does. He comes across as snarky and petty. He embarrasses me.

Anyone seeing this guy in the light of presidents who have gone before us, as being on a par with them is not a student of history or human nature.

“don’t become apart of the story”... a pretty big rule in journalism. Too late now for her.

Crowley calls it a "semantic thing." For centuries, humankind has called it by other names.

"Nothing is so mistaken as the supposition, that a person is to extricate himself from a difficulty, by intrigue, by chicanery, by dissimulation, by trimming, by an untruth, by an injustice. This increases the difficulties ten fold; and those who pursue these methods, get themselves so involved at length, that they can turn no way but their infamy becomes more exposed. It is of great importance to set a resolution, not to be shaken, never to tell an untruth. There is no vice so mean, so pitiful, so contemptible; and he who permits himself to tell a lie once, finds it much easier to do it a second and third time, till at length it becomes habitual; he tells lies without attending to it, and truths without the world’s believing him. This falsehood of the tongue leads to that of the heart, and in time depraves all its good dispositions." - See "Letter to Peter Carr, August 19, 1785," in Thomas Jefferson: Writings (New York: The Library of America, 1984), pp. 814-815.

". . . he tells lies without attending to it, and truths without the world's believing him." - Jefferson

When a man stands before the world and makes claims which are as easily disproven as those made by the President last night, then, truly, "his infamy becomes more exposed."

The 5-minute Rose Garden statement was on FOX Radio this morning, and it reveals that both Crowley and the President might take Jefferson's warning to heart: "Nothing is so mistaken as the supposition, that a person is to extricate himself from a difficulty, by intrigue, by chicanery, by dissimulation, by trimming, by an untruth, by an injustice." American voters saw the "chicanery," the "dissimulation," the "trimming," the "untruth," and the "injustice" attempted by avoiding the real question from the audience, and on November 6, both may see that the President did not "extricate" himself from the "difficulty" of his attempted cover-up of a terrorist attack on his watch.

Oh how cute..the hippo goes on The View..I guess to show how impartial she is/sarc
Crowley was absolutely disgraceful last night..but not a surprise, she is a liberal..she did everything she could to protect Obama’s ass and it failed because now everyone will be talking about Libya for the next week and that is something Obama does NOT want to discuss
