NEW YORK –  President Obama and Mitt Romney squeezed a comedy break in between debates last night, drawing laughs at a New York charity dinner that's long been a required stop for anyone trying to capture the White House.

Light-hearted jabs about the deficit, alleged bias in the press, Romney's wealth and Big Bird showed a different side of the two men at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner, organized by the Catholic Archdiocese of New York to benefit needy children. The quip-a-thon came just two days after the presidential contenders squared off in a contentious debate a short drive away at Hofstra University.

One of the best lines:

Romney also took a swipe at Obama's overseeing of the swelling national deficit, saying, "The president's remarks are brought to you by the letter O and the number 16 trillion."

I understand through published testimony to Congress, that one of the U.S. security agents in Bengahzi went back into building number 3 multiple times while under heavy fire crawling on hands and knees through heavy diesel smoke looking for the ambassador. While people in this administration sat and watched it all and did nothing.
Did he tell joke about that ?

Notice Michelle did not attend. Pretty clear she despises the Romneys despite Mitt’s magnanimous remarks to the contrary.

The wheel is turning. Obama knows it’s slipping away.

The picture of an overweight Cardinal Dolan, hailed by so many as the leader in the fight against the Obama’s mandate to financially push abortion, chuckling with Obama calls into question the seriousness of Dolan’s claims to want to block that mandate. Imagine swapping stories and joking with Jeffery Dahlmer or any mass murderer.

Obama looks so uncomfortable in white tie and tails. Maybe he wished he could wear his dashaki?

“Light-hearted jabs about the deficit, alleged bias in the press,”

No, the deficit is not a joking matter.

FU and your “alleged bias” — won’t get me to read the rest of the link.

FU!

Romney was funnier than the snob-in-chief..

According to someone who attended last night's dinner, Romney conveyed a more presidential demeanor than Obama. At the dinner's conclusion, many of the attendees flocked to Romney for photo ops and kudos on his jokes.

“Alleged Bias”???

Let me put it this way- Rush, Hannity, Levin, etc ALL CLEARLY STATE that they are Republcan/conservatives and are biased that way.

But there is not ONE SINGLE LIBTARD in the media that admits to being Democrap/Libtard- they all claim to be unbiased ‘journalists’

So... who’s the lying hypocrites? The ones who admit their bias? or the ones who don’t?

Dolan received plenty of criticism before the dinner for the very reasons you cite. Those who attended last night, however, were pleasantly surprised at the civility shown by both delegates towards each other. More importantly, the event raised $5 million for NY catholic schools and the work they do with poor and underprivileged children.

As for the 'overweight' Dolan, the pope has asked him to lead a peace delegation to Syria. He will be leaving shortly.

His whole schtick sounded like it was scripted by Dennis Miller. It was funny funny funny.

"...the U.S. security agents in Bengahzi went back into building number 3 multiple times....Did he tell joke about that ?"

It wasn't optimal at the time for the sociopath in chief. He had to send a shout-out to his liberal, Harvard indoctrinated buddy, Mitt.

When all is said and done, "Harvard" won the election again. It's all just such a joke on the American people, this " fair Democratic process"...isn't it?

It’s a matter of pride - Conservatives are proud of their values. Liberal-Progressive-Socialist-Communists ... not so much.

One of Romney's best lines last night was,"Both President obama and I each have a person we depend upon during this election cycle. In my case it's my beautiful wife, Ann and in President obama's case it's bill clinton."

Store these away for when Romney wins by a comfortable margin:

1. It’s the economy stupid. Romney crushed Obama on the economy in both debates. The media will bemoan that they tricked themselves into thinking anything else mattered.

2. How did anyone fool themselves think Dems would turn out at the same levels as 2008 given O’s record of disappointment.

3. Leftist/media caterwauling about embedded racism at levels never before seen.
