General Petraeus:
Remember these words: Duty, Honor, Country?
Now is the time for you to come out of the shadows and strike a blow for the integrity of our Government and those who serve it honorably vs. those who use it to serve themselves.
You have enjoyed a great and distinguished career marked by selfless service...do not let it be sullied by politics and the endless stream of lies and deceit coming from the White House and Department of State.
Your silence is deafening. Now is the time for you stand up and tell the American people the truth.
Explain, as only you can, what has transpired these last several weeks since our unprotected consulate in Benghazi suffered a terrorist attack resulting in the murder of our ambassador and three others.
Explain, as only you have the information at your disposal, what really happened. Answer these questions:
- Why were recent, pre-11 September attacks against the consulate ignored?
- Why was the consulate not afforded better protection?
- Why did no one respond to the repeated calls for enhanced security from the Ambassador as well as security professionals?
- Why did the White House choose to hide behind a trumped-up story woven around a demonstration that never occurred?
- Why did the White House send out an endless stream of talking heads to promote their lies?
- Why is the White House still refusing to address what they knew, when and what they did, why?
RECOMMENDATION: Call an unannounced news conference for Monday at 0900 and tell the American people the truth.

The current bunch of Anti-American usurpers in high places also took away the good general’s victory and turned it into today’s miserable, embarrassing, and dangerous defeat (in real terms, since the terrorista enemies are taking charge again). And, they cripple our good soldiers with:
1. lawyers watching them and what they do
2. “show trial” prosecutions of our own soldiers for doing their jobs well, and
3. “rules of engagement” that prevent our soldiers from effectively fighting, or even protecting themselves.
The General needs to speak up, and NOW is the Time!

Other than manning up and doing what this thread asks of him, what more did you have in mind for Petraeus to do?
At this very moment we are seeing a paradigm shift in America; The reigns of control are now in the hands of females like Valerie Jarrett, Hillary Clinton, Janet Napolitano, Lisa Jackson, Susan Rice, Victoria Nuland.. Do any of these women understand the Islamic threat we're up against? NO. Who else do we have defending Us?; Emasculated males/metrosexuals, and gays, but no MEN. Generations of indoctrinating boys into metrosexualism and years of REAL men being beaten into submission in the workplace have rendered them unable to speak out or acting to save America from certain doom.
We are led by people who can watch 6 hours of our great men dying and not send any aid. Did they think it was a new reality show?

IN RESPONSE July 2010: Col. Ralph Peters: General Petraeus’s COIN Strategy Will Fail In Afghanistan:
Essentially, Peters argues that the Counter-Insurgency strategy that famously worked well under Petraeus’s command in Iraq is completely ill-suited to the situation in Afghanistan and that, instead, we should be following some version of the Counter-Terrorism strategy that was advocated last year by Vice-President Biden, a strategy that would, of course, require a much smaller military footprint on the part of the United States.
Peters seems to think that the only hope in Afghanistan is for Petraeus to recognize that COIN will not work in Afghanistan and to convince the President to change his mind. The likelihood of this happening seems doubtful for two reasons. First of all, Petraeus made his career on COIN, and said during his confirmation hearings that he full supported the strategy that had been in place since November. Second, I’m not sure that the President would consider it politically viable to change strategies in mid-stream, and especially to one that will result in a significant withdrawal of troops during a time when both he and the Republicans will be preparing for the 2012 elections.
I was impressed with Petraeus at his hearings, but what do I know about military strategy. My Marine always kicks my *ss at risk, chess, and monopoly. :)
The General showed his stripes when he threw in with the islamcommunist trash of the soetoro adminisration.
Oh. I forgot, Hillary asked the Libyans if we could fly over there airspace. They said no, so she continued watching the TV with General P? Perhaps they had popcorn.
A little nit pick. Petraeus is the Director of the CIA. The “Director of Central Intelligence” title was discontinued when the position of Director of National Intelligence was created. The DNI position is now held by Clapper.

Send each of the Joint Chiefs the same letter modified to fit each of them as well. Talk about disgracing their uniforms!
