I think more likely this is a last-ditch diplomatic effort to save Obama Presidential ambitions. The Muslim in the White House and the Muslims in Iran can jointly lie and bomb Israel after the election.
Iran must be scared chitless at Romney being elected and what will happen in 2013!

Obama is so deluded he thinks even more talks with Iran will help his election chances.
It will do the opposite - he’s doubling down on the same failed policy of the last 4 years. He’s also putting more distance between the US and Israel at the worst possible time.
For what it’s worth department. Dick Morris reported on Fox and Friends this am that the deal is done and Obama is readying the paperwork for an October surprise. He said the agreement will be announced before the election making Obama look good and Iran gets some sanctions lifted. The most important thing he said was that Iran likes to meddle in US elections. They don’t want Romney elected because they think he will help Israel in an attack against Iran.
Did buraq tell them he will have a lot more flexibility after the elections?

Ah, I see Iran is "early voting" by means of delaying tactic number 7.
But they did hold our citizens hostage.
Let's look at this from both angles: True vs. Not True.
Let's assume the story is True. So what. How many American's are really following what's going on with the United States and Iran? I'm guessing no one beside the hard-core political junkies like those of us on FR. Assuming it's true, this isn't an election maker by any stretch of the imagination.
Now let's assume the story is False. Again, so what. No one seriously believes the Obama Administration has made any serious in-roads with Iran anyway.
Now let's look at this from a "blowback" perspective just for the fun of it. Story is reported and assumed true and promoted by Obama in the next debate. Then we find out "OOPS! Story ISN'T True" and we have a re-play of the Student Revolution in 2009 where Obama completely blew an opportunity to have regime change without the United States having to fire a single shot.
That's NOT good blowback.
All Romney has to do is put out an AD where this evil sob spewed his hatred towards Israel and call the US satan in his little speech at the UN. Simply!!
